IconCompetent staff

Disadvantages
IconUncomfortable beds
IconPartly very loud
I took the night train TGV 9786 from Geneva to Paris, which took about 3 hours and 10 minutes. It's a direct connection, which is convenient as you don't have to change trains. Unfortunately, the comfort was not what I had hoped for on an overnight train. The seats were relatively cramped and it was difficult to really relax or sleep. The train was on time, but the service could have been better - for example, it was a bit chilly on the train and the catering options were limited. Still, it's a quick and direct way to get from Geneva to Paris, but I had hoped for a bit more comfort, especially for an overnight journey.
Advantages
IconModern train
IconShort journey duration
IconBeautiful landscapes
IconPunctuality
Disadvantages
IconDirty windows
I have very positive memories of my journey from Geneva to Paris. The train was quite modern, but the windows could have been a bit cleaner. The journey only took a short 3 hours. During the journey you could enjoy the beautiful scenery along the route. The train was always on time and the service on board was also excellent.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats and good equipment
IconFriendly staff and fast ticket inspection
IconVery clean and hygienic
IconPunctuality and direct connection
Disadvantages
IconHigh capacity utilisation and increased volume on the train
Overall, I found the journey from Geneva to Paris very good. The seats were very comfortable and there were power sockets and wifi on the train. It was also very clean and the toilets looked hygienic. The staff here were also very friendly and carried out a quick ticket check. Unfortunately, the train was a little full, so the volume was sometimes a little too loud. Otherwise, the train was hardly delayed and I didn't have to change trains until Paris.
Advantages
IconFriendly staff
IconCleanliness and hygiene
IconNo delays and without changing trains
IconHigh seating comfort
IconWifi and sockets available
Disadvantages
IconOn-board bistro closed
The train from Geneva to Paris had not been very full, so the volume in the passenger compartment was pleasant. The train itself was clean and there were plenty of power sockets and wifi. I found the seats very comfortable and there was enough legroom. However, the on-board bistro on the train was closed, which I thought was a shame. Otherwise, the toilets were hygienic and the staff were friendly. The train was not delayed on arrival and I didn't have to change trains.
