Prague is one of the most popular capital cities in Eastern Europe and with its perfectly preserved medieval city center, it's easy to see why. Like a snapshot in time, wander through the Old Town and across the St Charles Bridge for the true experience. However, the Czech Republic has much more to offer than the capital.
Just under three hours away by bus, Český Krumlov is a pleasant alternative to Prague. With a mix of Gothic and baroque architecture, this picturesque town is a dream to explore. Nestled in the Vltava River, it’s also the perfect base for exploring the surrounding countryside.
Brno is another popular destination in the country's southwest. Just two and half hours by bus, it’s not far from Prague. The city is a slept-on gem in Europe, with its mix of interesting architecture, such as the 13th-century Špilberk Castle, and green spaces—Park Lužánky is a must.
