RegioJet Tickets: Choosing the Right Class Type

Many RegioJet routes offer a standard fare with only one class type. For these routes, a wide range of amenities are included for all passengers. However on double-decker Fun&Relax+ Buses, which typically service long-haul and international bus routes, passengers are given the choice between two classes: Standard and Relax.

We’ve laid out the various benefits that come with Standard and Relax ticket types so that you can make a decision that works best for your specific travel needs.

RegioJet Standard Class | RegioJet Bus:

RegioJet Standard tickets are located on the lower deck of the Fun&Relax+ bus, and include a wide range of amenities:

  • adjustable seats with built-in LCD screens
  • climate-controlled coaches (A/C and heating)
  • toilets
  • free, speedy WiFi
  • seat reservation included in price of your RegioJet bus ticket
  • free Italian espresso drinks
  • individual power outlets (230 V)
  • cup holders in each seat
  • seat-back tables, ideal for work or play
  • headphones available for purchase
  • vending machine selling soda and snacks

Additional Perks of a Standard RegioJet Bus Ticket

Large tables: In standard class there are two large tables surrounded by four seats each. This option is perfect for families with children or groups of friends who want to chat and catch up. The large table is perfect for getting a bit of work done—or watching a series with a friend, you choose. Tip: book well in advance—these seats go fast!

Toilets: The restroom is located on the lower deck, so if you don’t want to climb the stairs whenever nature calls, you should consider booking a Standard ticket.

Easier Accessibility: Because Standard tickets are on the lower level of the bus, this ticket type is ideal for passengers with limited mobility, or for anyone who doesn’t feel comfortable going up and down stairs on a moving bus.

RegioJet Relax Class | RegioJet Bus:

Relax seats are located on the upper deck of the Fun&Relax+ bus and include extra legroom, in addition to all the amenities of a Standard Ticket:

  • adjustable seats with added legroom and built-in LCD screens
  • climate-controlled coaches (A/C and heating)
  • toilets (located on the lower deck)
  • free, speedy WiFi
  • seat reservation included in price of your RegioJet tickets
  • free Italian espresso drinks
  • individual power outlets (230 V)
  • cup holders in each seat
  • seat-back tables, ideal for work or play
  • headphones available for purchase
  • vending machine selling soda and snacks

Added Perks of a Relax RegioJet Bus Ticket

Extra Privacy: In the Relax class, you have the possibility to book an “island seat”— a single seat in a row by itself. Essentially a window seat and an aisle seat, these seats are perfect for getting that extra bit of concentration, or when you need extra privacy for work. Just make sure to book your ticket well in advance—these seats go fast.

Unique Views: The added height of the upper deck allows you to look out over the surrounding traffic and enjoy wider, more sweeping views. Also for those who suffer from motion sickness, the three front seats are a big bonus, as they offer the largest and most unobstructed frontal view on the whole bus. These seats are first-come-first-serve so make sure to book well in advance.

Please keep in mind Relax tickets are accessible only by climbing the stairs. If you have limited mobility, or don’t feel comfortable climbing stairs for any other reason, please consider booking a ticket on the lower deck.

About the RegioJet Bus Fleet

The RegioJet Bus fleet is made up of several different models of buses, each with its own unique set of perks and conveniences. For most destinations, you will not have the option to choose between different bus types for a specific route. In general, longer international bus routes are serviced by Fun&Relax+ Buses, while popular routes within the Czech Republic are often serviced by Fun&Relax Buses. Below is a list of amenities passengers receive on each RegioJet Bus type:

RegioJet Bus Types

Fun&Relax+ Buses

Ultra-modern and comfortable, this is the most luxurious bus model on the RegioJet fleet. There are two ticket classes sold on Fun&Relax+ buses: Relax and Standard. Relax tickets are located on the upper deck and Standard Tickets are located on the lower deck. For more information on the differences between the two class types on Fun&Relax+ Buses, click here. Fun&Relax+ Buses are commonly used to service long-haul journeys, so if you are traveling internationally, chances are you’ll be traveling on a Fun&Relax+ double decker bus.

Just make sure to book your ticket well in advance—these seats go fast.

Large Tables for Families or Friends: On the lower deck (Standard Class), there are a limited number of saloon seats situated around a large table. These facing seats are popular for families traveling with children (think: coloring books), or for groups who want to catch up with their friends during the journey. Tip: book well in advance if you want to secure these seats: there are only 2 tables (8 seats total) on each bus!

Is there assistance for people with disabilities? Are service animals allowed onboard?

Currently, RegioJet does not provide assistance for those with reduced mobility and most RegioJet buses are not wheelchair accessible. Passengers who have reduced mobility must travel with someone who can assist them throughout their journey and RegioJet will transport folded wheelchairs free of charge.

Guide and assistance dogs (carrying a proper label and a card) are allowed on RegioJet buses, but must be accompanied by a person with an ZTP/P card (a Czech-issued disability card) or by the dog’s trainer. The accompanying person must ensure the animal does not make a mess, damage the vehicle, or put other passengers in danger.

What Is RegioJet’s Baggage Policy?

RegioJet’s baggage policy varies depending on whether you’re traveling internationally or not, as well as on your destination country.

  • In general, the free baggage allowance for RegioJet bus passengers is one carry-on bag (no bigger than 15×25×35 cm) and one piece of hold luggage (no bigger than 30×60×80 cm). Hold luggage can weigh max. 30 kg.
  • For domestic trips within the Czech Republic, Slovakia, or Germany, this allowance increases to 2 carry-on bags and 2 pieces of hold luggage, free of charge. The same size and weight restrictions apply.

Helpful conversions for American Travelers:

  • 15×25×35 cm = 5.9×9.8×13.7 inches
  • 30 kg = 66 lb.
  • If you want to bring additional or oversized luggage, please see the FAQ section directly below this one: What If I Want to Bring Additional or Oversized Lugguge? There, you will find detailed information about what additional luggage is allowed, as well as which fees might apply.

What If I Want to Bring Additional or Oversized Lugguge?

Bringing additional or oversized luggage is possible (provided there is space), but rules and fees may apply, depending on your route. We’ve compiled some detailed information on RegioJet’s baggage policy based on where you are traveling to/from.

Additional/Oversized Luggage Fees for Domestic Routes:

  • Czech Republic & Slovakia: If traveling within the Czech Republic or Slovakia, passengers are allowed to take two pieces of hand luggage on board (no bigger than 15×25×35 cm) as well as two bags in the hold (no bigger than 30×60×80 cm), free of charge. You may bring additional hold luggage free of charge, but it will only be accepted if there is space in the hold.

Baggage Allowance for International Routes:

  • Routes between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, Norway or Italy: you are allowed to take one bag on board (no bigger than 15×25×35 cm) as well as one bag for the hold (30×60×80 cm + Max 30 kg.) free of charge. The fee can be paid in person when boarding the bus, and costs range from €8 to €10 euros (about $8.50 to $10) per piece of oversized/additional luggage.
