DFDS(Det Forenede Dampskibs-Selskab) is a Denmark ferry company founded in 1866 due to the merging of three Danish shipping companies. DFDS offers sailings and crossings along different European routes like Copenhagen, Oslo, France, Germany, Baltics, Sweden, and Holland. Note that, you’ll be required to pay an additional charge for any luggage or pet onboard. How does the check-in and boarding process work on DFDS Ferries?

Passengers must first go to the DFDS seaways ticket office to get their boarding tickets, which they will need to present at the check-in desk. Keep in mind that as DFDS Ferries does not provide tickets, you must print your reference number when making a reservation. Those traveling with their vehicles must additionally present a valid ticket at the boarding gate.

How long before boarding should passengers arrive at the port?

You should arrive at the port 60 to 90 minutes before departure. However, during high seasons, ensure you arrive at the port at least 90 mins before the scheduled departure time.

Are pets allowed onboard DFDS ferries?
