Alsa buses offer affordable travel across Europe but if you’re looking to get the cheapest Alsa bus tickets, we’d advise you to buy tickets as far in advance as possible. If you’re able to be flexible with your journey, then traveling during the week can usually be cheaper. Searching for journeys outside of peak-season also guarantees a cheaper ticket as Alsa prices their tickets lower in the low season. There are over 2,900 buses in Alsa’s fleet, with different types of buses catering to different journeys.   • Supra: the star of the Alsa team and the most luxurious way to travel by road.   • Eurobus: The Eurobus crosses borders and offers free Wi-Fi, more space between seats, the latest in cinema and series, free newspapers and headphones and VIP lounges in some of its stations.

What is the luggage allowance on Alsa buses?

  • Passengers are allowed up to 30 kg of luggage on domestic journeys and 25 kg on international routes.
  • You can have extra luggage on domestic journeys from €3 per journey.
  • Make sure all luggage is labeled
  • Food that might affect others health is not allowed
  • Bikes, skis or surfboards can be carried for a fee and only on certain international routes, it is best to book this before you travel to ensure you can take it onboard.

Can Children travel on Alsa for free?

  • Children under 4: Travel for free
  • Children between 4 and 11: Can travel for 30% of the price of the normal ticket.

Is there assistance for people with disabilities?

  • Discounted tickets (of up to 15%) are available for those with disabilities and for companions.
  • Buses can be altered to accommodate those with disabilities
  • Guide dogs are allowed to travel on buses for free but must sit at the feet of their owner, have the right documentation and be on the leash at all times
  • Assistance is available but must be requested before the journey.

Can I take pets on Alsa buses?

Pets under 10 kg are allowed to travel on some Alsa Buses but only in the hold. The number is limited so booking ahead is necessary and they must be in an appropriate carrier.

Guide dogs are allowed on the buses but must have the correct paperwork and be on a leash at all times.

Do I have to print my Alsa bus ticket?

What are the cancellation and refunds policies?

The Alsa flexible fare allows you to change Alsa tickets for free up to two hours before departure, but only once. If you want to stop traveling, you can cancel and get a full refund if you do so 48 hours before departure, and if requested between 48 and 24 hours, 10% will be applied to the refund. If you cancel an Alsa ticket less than 24 hours in advance, the refund rate will be 20%. Remember that if you have purchased your Alsa ticket with Omio, you will have to change it or cancel it through the Omio website.
