Alsa is one of the most important bus companies in Europe, and connects practically all Spanish cities. Within the national scope it is also important to note that ALSA offers services from many Spanish airports, such as Adolfo Suarez Madrid - Barajas Airport. ALSA also has international destinations, more than 300 in 16 different countries in Europe and Morocco. As a member of the Eurolines group, it has road authorization for routes with countries such as Portugal, France, and Germany.

Alsa Ticket Types

As they are mostly long-distance buses, Alsa tickets are not usually bought directly on the bus. The company has several types of tickets that you can buy online in advance so you don't have to worry about anything the day you travel:

What are the types of Alsa ticktes?

Alsa has different types of tariffs:
  • Minimum Fare: the cheapest, no changes or cancellations allowed.
  • Reduced Fare: it admits changes, but not cancellations.
  • Flexible Fare: as its name indicates, it has total flexibility. This means that you will be able to change and cancel your ticket without any problems.
  • If you travel with children between 4 and 11 years old, you get a 30% discount on the ticket. If they are super small, under 3, they travel for free! But always with an adult, of course.

What to do in case of cancellations?

We all dream of having the bus all to ourselves and being able to sit in the background like the cool class, but in reality Alsa's buses don't usually go empty. Therefore, changes will be subject to availability. Cancellations must be made up to 2 hours before departure.

What do I do if my plans change?

Relax, it happens to all of us. That's why it's better to buy the ticket with the Alsa Flexible Fare, just in case. If your fare allows it, you can change Alsa tickets up to 2 hours before departure only once and for free. If you want to stop travelling, you can cancel and get a full refund if you do so 48 hours before departure, and if requested between 48 and 24 hours, 10% will be applied to the refund. If you cancel an Alsa ticket less than 24 hours in advance, the refund rate will be 20%. Remember that if you have purchased your Alsa ticket with Omio, you will have to change it or cancel it through our website.

Do we have to print the Alsa ticket?

Once you have your Alsa tickets, you can decide if you prefer printed or electronic ticket. Does this sound Chinese to you? Here we explain the difference:
  • Printed ticket: there's not much to explain, you just print it. But don't lose it!
  • Electronic ticket: download it on your mobile, directly in the Omio app, and take it on your trip without printing. Save time and paper! The planet is not there for unnecessary expenses.

How to find cheap Alsa tickets

  • Compra billetes de Alsa con antelación: la mayoría de las rutas no tienen precio fijo, así que ¡aprovecha antes de que suban!
  • Travel during the week, when there aren't that many people. Alsa tickets are also priced lower in the low season, especially for Alsa long distance journeys.
  • It is good to be flexible when booking Alsa tickets, because the more options you have, the easier it will be to find a cheaper one.
  • Follow us on our social media networks, such as Facebook or Twitter, to keep up to date with all Alsa offers and discounts.
