Alsa is one of the most important bus companies in Europe, and connects practically all Spanish cities. Within the national scope it is also important to note that ALSA offers services from many Spanish airports, such as Adolfo Suarez Madrid - Barajas Airport. ALSA also has international destinations, more than 300 in 16 different countries in Europe and Morocco. As a member of the Eurolines group, it has road authorization for routes with countries such as Portugal, France, and Germany.

Alsa Ticket Types

Alsa has three main ticket types and they vary in flexiblility. Alsa also offer various discount depending on age of traveler, groups and families.

Minimum Ticket

    Alsa Bus Types

    ALSA Premium

    Alsa Premium is the most exclusive bus line of Alsa– only covering certain routes and offers maximum comfort.

    • Comfortable seating with TV screen and large tables
    • Alsa Premium buses only travel from Madrid to Soria, Soria to Logroño, Madrid to Bilbao, Madrid to Granada, Madrid to Vitoria and San Sebastián to Irún
    ALSA Supra

    Supra is the most widely used premium service since it covers several routes throughout the country.

    • Includes on-board WiFi connection, headphones and free newspaper
    • You can choose between Supra + and Supra Economy
    • Some Supra tickets include the menu option, and if the traveler suffers from any allergies or is celiac, they can be adapted
    ALSA Eurobus

    Alsa Eurobus is the line with more routes of the company.

    • Alsa's Eurobus buses have eliminated seats to offer passengers more space between seats and therefore greater comfort when traveling.
    Other Alsa Buses

    Alsa offers other services adapted to the needs of the passengers.

    • Pequebus: Transport adapted for children and babies, in urban environments.
    • Bus&smp;Fly: In cooperation with Iberia, they cover the route between Madrid airport and other cities.

    What is the luggage allowance on Alsa buses?

    • Passengers are allowed up to 30kg of luggage on domestic journeys and 25kg on international routes.
    • You can have extra luggage on domestic journeys from € 3 per journey.
    • Make sure to label all luggage
    • Food that might affect others health is not allowed
    • Bikes, Skis or Surfboards can be carried for a fee and only on certain international routes, it is best to book this before you travel to ensure you can take it onboard.

    Can Children travel on Alsa for free?

    • Children under 4: Travel for free
    • Children between 4-11: Can travel for 30% of the price of the normal ticket.

    Is there assistance for people with disabiltiies?

    • Discounted tickets (of up to 15%) are available for those with disabilites and for companions.
    • Buses can be altered to accomodate those with disabilities
    • Guide dogs are allowed to travel on buses for free but must sit at the feet of their owner, have the right documentation and be on the leash at all times
    • Assistance is available but must be requested before the journey.

    Can I take pets on Alsa buses?

    Pets under 10kg are allowed to travel on some Alsa Buses but only in the hold. The number is limited so booking ahead is necessary and they must be in an appropriate carrier.

    Guide dogs are allowed on the buses but must have the correct paper work and be on a leash at all times.
