As a choice European vacation destination and headquarters of the European Union, Brussels receives direct air traffic from all over the world. In North America, Jet Airways and Icelandair fly direct from New York, Brussels Airlines and Icelandair from Washington DC, United and Aer Lingus from Chicago, British Airways from Philadelphia, and United from Miami. Also, Air Canada offers direct flights from Montreal, and Jet Airways flies direct from Toronto and New Delhi. In the UK, British Airways and Brussels Airways operates daily services from Heathrow, and easyJet flies from Gatwick. Most flights to Brussels arrive at Brussels International Airport (BRU) located just 11 kilometres northeast of the city. Passengers can continue their journeys by local, national and international trains, buses or taxis. Trains leave the airport every 10 minutes for the centre of Brussels, and other services connect with destinations all over the country including Bruges and Antwerp. Also high speed trains run from the airport to Amsterdam. Buses of the Airport Line run services into the centre of the city, and several companies operate from the bus station located one floor down from the arrivals hall. Charleroi (Gosselies) Airport (CRL), located some 46 kilometres south of the city in Wallonia caters to flights from European countries including Ryanair services from Dublin and Edinburgh.
