There are three ferry companies on this route: NLG takes around one hour to make the crossing, Alilauro takes 35 minutes, and the Seremar ferry takes around 1 hour and 25 minutes. Although there are regular crossings on the route, high-speed ferries are often suspended due to rough seas. In case of very rough seas, the ferry routes are closed. Lucibello ferries also offer services on this route but the high-speed ferries are only available during certain months.

Alilauro has three crossings per day, NLG run up to 14 times a week, and the Seremar service runs seven times per week.
