Omio is a search and booking platform that allows you to buy tickets for trains, buses, flights, ferries and airport transfers. By having all your options in one place, you can find the best tickets for your journey.

2. What is Omio app?

The Omio app is the mobile version of the Omio website and makes travel more convenient for you. On the Omio app, you can search and compare trains, buses and flights. You can then book your tickets and store them in the app so they’re easily accessible.

3. Why is Omio cheaper?

Omio can be cheaper because we offer several ways to travel to your destination. We show the full range of transport options from the cheapest bus to the fastest train. This way, you can find the best routes that work for you.

4. Why is everything on Omio so much cheaper in euros?

If you’re in the United Kingdom, it’ll look like euros are cheaper than pound sterling because of conversion rates. It’s a bit of a magic trick, really.

5. How to contact Omio?

6. Omio: how far in advance can I book?

How far you can book on Omio depends on the travel company and transport type you want to travel with. Most train companies release tickets in three-month batches, whereas you can often book flights well into the following year. We always suggest booking tickets as far in advance as possible to get the cheapest price.

8. Who are Omio?

Hi, we’re Omio. We’re a travel comparison and booking platform. Or in human speak, we’re a site that lets you search and buy tickets for trains, buses and flights across 37 countries.

9. How to use Omio tickets?

If you’ve got a mobile ticket, you need to go to the ‘My booking’ section in your Omio account and find the QR code. Then just scan it at a machine or with a ticket inspector. If your ticket isn’t mobile, you’ll need to print it and have it on you when you travel.

10. How to get discount on Omio?

If you have a travel card for a certain country (i.e. a 26-30 railcard in the UK), you can apply it during your search. The discount will be applied to the results. You can also refer friends to Omio to get a discount. For every friend you refer, you both get €10 to spend on another Omio booking. You can find out more about it here.

11. How to change Omio ticket?

Changing a ticket with Omio depends on the ticket type you originally bought. If your ticket is refundable and/or exchangeable, then you can often amend the ticket yourself in the Omio app. If you need more help, you can contact our customer service team here.

Omio is an OTA, which stands for Online Travel Agent. You can book travel through us but we don’t offer accommodation or all-inclusive options on our site or app.

15. Can I get a refund for an Omio ticket?

Being eligible for a refund depends on the ticket type you originally bought. If you bought a refundable ticket, then you can claim a refund through Omio.
