The train journey from Geneva to Zermatt was a very pleasant experience overall. I travelled on the IC 718 train, which offers a direct connection without changing trains - very convenient if you don't feel like repacking your luggage. The train was punctual and arrived exactly on time, which I really appreciated as I was on a tight schedule in Zermatt. The views during the journey were breathtaking and made the journey very enjoyable. The only downside was the price of the ticket, which was slightly more expensive than expected. Overall though, a very comfortable and stress-free way to get from Geneva to Zermatt.

The train from Geneva to Zermatt had a high capacity utilisation, which is why it was relatively noisy in the passenger compartment. In addition, the train arrived in Zermatt 15 minutes late. Otherwise, the seats were comfortable and there were plenty of facilities, such as power sockets and wifi. The staff here were also friendly and carried out a smooth ticket inspection.
