Slight delayThe train journey from Cologne to Aachen was really very good, we only had a very slight delay and were therefore there quite punctually. The cleanliness in the train was exemplary and the air conditioning was able to regulate the August heat very well. The train was well signposted and you could find your seat quickly. The seats were very comfortable and each seat had a power socket. I can also highly recommend the on-board bistro.

There were only minor delays of around 10 minutes due to construction work, which is understandable given the size of the route network. The train was very clean throughout the journey. I boarded the train in Cologne Deutz and was at Aachen Central Station in about 45 minutes. The train arrived on time and the journey was quiet and pleasant. On the way, I used my laptop to work on a letter I was writing. The wifi was excellent. Unfortunately, when I got off the train at Aachen Central Station, the lift from the platform was broken. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant journey and I would take the train again at any time
