Advantages
IconVery clean
Disadvantages
IconA few delays
The train journey from Zurich to Innsbruck was excellent overall. The comfort and service were first class and the cleanliness was commendable. The journey time was reasonable and the price-performance ratio was right. A highlight was when a group of musicians sat in the compartment and sang.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconTechnical problems
On my journey from Zurich to Innsbruck I enjoyed the picturesque view and the very good cleanliness. Unfortunately there was a delay due to a technical problem near Bludenz, but the staff were helpful and we were able to continue our journey after 30 minutes. Overall, it was a somewhat difficult journey.
Advantages
IconThree countries trip
IconVaried landscape
Disadvantages
IconWiFi weak due to tunnel
There is a through train connection from Zurich to Innsbruck every two hours. With Liechtenstein, you can travel through three countries at once. The journey through the Arlberg on the Austrian side is particularly impressive. Even at the end of April you can see a beautiful winter landscape here. There were no delays anywhere due to customs checks. The ÖBB Railjet trains are spotlessly clean, which also applies to the toilets. A pleasant experience for five hours
Advantages
IconNo change
Disadvantages
IconExpensive
In my opinion, the train ticket from Zurich to Innsbruck was quite expensive. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the journey because I was able to book the ticket easily and didn't have to change trains, which meant I reached my destination quickly. The wifi was also excellent and the whole train and the toilets were clean
Advantages
IconNo change
Disadvantages
IconDirty
IconDelay
IconNo wifi
There weren't many things I particularly liked about this journey, one of which was that I was able to book the ticket very easily and hassle-free online. The other reason was that I didn't have to change trains. Nevertheless, I reached my destination late because the train arrived 15 minutes late. Another reason I didn't like was that the toilets were dirty and the wifi didn't work the whole journey.
Advantages
IconCheap ticket
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
IconLocked toilet
On this journey from Zurich to Innsbruck, I thought it was a shame that I couldn't use the wifi as it wasn't working. I also found it a shame that the toilet in my carriage was locked as it was broken. Nevertheless, I really liked the fact that I could book my ticket very easily and cheaply online. I also thought it was great that I found a ticket that didn't require me to change trains, which meant I arrived at my destination quickly.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
IconComfortable
Disadvantages
IconTrip duration
The train journey from Zurich to Innsbruck offered first-class comfort and excellent service. The cleanliness of the train was exemplary. Although the journey time was a little longer than expected, the views with the beautiful scenery distracted me. The value for money was fair and made the experience worthwhile.
Advantages
IconSeat included
IconPunctual
IconComfort
Disadvantages
IconPrice
IconLuggage
IconWindow panes
The price for this route is quite high. I often travel this route, but on business, so my company pays for the ticket. The good thing is that a seat was already included and didn't have to be paid for separately. This is not the case with the German railway. Both trains were on time and the arrival was even earlier than planned. The only criticism is that it took quite a long time to change trains.
Advantages
IconClean
IconPlenty of space
IconTrain not overcrowded
Disadvantages
IconDelay
IconHad to change 2 times
Unfortunately, my journey from Zurich to Innsbruck was not quite as smooth as I had hoped. I started off on the EC 163 train, but then had to change trains in Sargans and Landeck-Zams before finally reaching Innsbruck. The total journey time was almost 5 hours, which was much longer than planned as there were delays en route. Although the trains themselves were clean and comfortable, the constant changing of trains was a bit of a hassle, especially with luggage. The delays messed up my schedule, which was annoying. All in all, the connection was okay, but it would have been nice if the timetable had been more reliable.
Advantages
IconNo changeover
IconCleanliness on the train and in the toilets
IconComfortable seats and full equipment
IconPleasant atmosphere
Disadvantages
IconNo staff encountered
IconDelay of 10 minutes on arrival
I was able to travel from Zurich to Innsbruck without changing trains. The journey took a total of three and a half hours, of which 10 minutes were late. Overall, the train was pleasant. Sometimes it was full and sometimes a little emptier. At least I had a comfortable seat with power sockets and working wifi. Unfortunately, I didn't encounter any staff during the entire journey, which confused me as announcements were made. Otherwise, the train and toilets were very clean. All in all, a good journey!
