On my journey from Salzburg to Innsbruck I enjoyed the comfort and the rather short journey time. Unfortunately, the service was poor and the cleanliness could be improved. However, the price-performance ratio was acceptable. However, the unfriendly service spoilt the journey for me
Advantages
IconClean toilets
IconHistoric train
IconBeautiful landscapes
Disadvantages
IconLong journey time
This journey was very relaxed because the train took its time. The journey was therefore quite long. In return, I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the route. The train was quite historic and there was no service staff on board, apart from the conductors. However, they were friendly. The train was tidy and appeared to be in good technical condition. It was also quite clean in the toilets.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats
IconTrain clean from the inside
IconGood wifi
IconFree sockets
Disadvantages
IconIt was a bit noisy on the train
Some time ago I decided to take a journey from Salzburg to Innsbruck. As always, I was able to buy the tickets very easily online. I bought seat 5 in carriage 3. The staff were friendly as always and the seats were very comfortable. The free wifi also worked very well as well as the free power sockets. The train was very hygienic inside and the toilets were very clean! The train arrived on time in Innsbruck. As I was travelling from Salzburg to Innsbruck, the journey took about two hours. As always, the price-performance ratio was very good!
Advantages
IconBeautiful view
IconNice service
Disadvantages
IconHygiene was poor
I travelled to Innsbruck on the ÖBB NJ466. The hygiene of the train was not good, but as I sat down in my reserved seat straight away, it didn't bother me. Only the rubbish bins could have been emptied before the journey started. The journey took about 4 hours and we arrived on time. The service and the view were very good and I was also able to connect to the train wifi.
Advantages
IconBeautiful view
IconNice service
Disadvantages
IconPricewise okay
I travelled to Innsbruck on the NJ 468 and all in all I was quite happy with the journey. The service was nice and the view during the journey was also very nice. The hygiene inside the train was also okay, so I can't really complain. Only the price was too expensive for me, but as I had to take the journey, I didn't really have the choice to take another journey for a better price.
Advantages
Icononline booking
Disadvantages
IconOvercrowded
IconDelay
What I really liked about this trip was that I was able to book the ticket very easily and cheaply. I also liked the fact that I didn't have to change trains. Nevertheless, I arrived late at my destination because the train was delayed and overcrowded with passengers. The toilets and the whole train were clean, but the wifi was not so good.
Advantages
IconSuper easy booking
Disadvantages
IconPoor wifi
IconDirty toilets and floors
Unfortunately, I didn't like the fact that the wifi didn't work properly on the journey from Salzburg to wifi, but there was a limit of 1 hour per passenger. I also found it a pity that the floors in the train and the toilet were quite dirty. Nevertheless, there were also good aspects, such as the fact that I didn't have to change trains and arrived at my destination on time. The easy and cheap booking of the ticket was also great.
Advantages
IconClean
Disadvantages
IconVery expensive
What I liked about this train journey was that the train was clean and the toilets looked very tidy. I also liked the fact that it was easy to book online and I found a ticket that didn't require me to change trains. Nevertheless, the ticket was far too expensive and the train was delayed by 20 minutes. The wifi didn't work at all or was very weak throughout the journey and I reached my destination with a long delay.
Advantages
IconSuper booking
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
I found it a pity that I didn't have wifi on this train journey, which meant I couldn't watch videos online. Nevertheless, I found it very good and convincing that I could book the train journey very easily online and that it was very cheap. I also liked the short journey time and the fact that I didn't have to change trains. The toilets and the whole train were very clean and tidy. The train was also not delayed, which was great.
Advantages
IconDirect connection
IconAlpine panorama
IconTravel comfort in 1st class
Disadvantages
IconCould be even faster
I travelled from Salzburg to Innsbruck on the RJX 864. The Railjet departed on time at 16:56 and arrived in Innsbruck on time at 18:44. I travelled with my 1st class Interrail ticket. A seat reservation was not necessary, but the comfort in 1st class was worth it. Very comfortable, adjustable seats with plenty of space and their own power socket. There were only a few passengers, so it was very quiet. The wifi also works, but I hardly used it due to the Alpine panorama along the route. The direct connection is really very comfortable, although it felt like the train could have travelled even faster.
