I was travelling from Mannheim to Munich on business. The train left Mannheim on time, but arrived late in Munich. The quiet compartments and the availability of power sockets are great for working. Unfortunately, the internet connection was a bit slow. Some of the toilets were also very dirty.

In addition, the train was very dirty and the seats were also quite dirty. It smelled very unpleasant on the train. Only the price-performance ratio on this connection was good. Last year in October, I travelled to Munich by train for work and had to change trains in Mannheim. My train was on time, but unfortunately very full. This makes you feel less safe at the station and on the train when it's so crowded. Thanks to my reservation, however, I had a seat. The staff were very friendly and courteous. If the trains are on time and not so full, Deutsche Bahn is a real alternative.

I had to travel from Mannheim to Munich by train today, so I decided to take the ICE. The train was a few minutes late. It was no further. The bad thing was that I could wait at the station. There was an on-board bistro on the train where you can buy a coffee, which is very commendable. The staff are courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, the toilets on the train were a bit clogged, but that didn't bother me, as you're already at your destination after 3 hours.

This was my outward journey and right from the start I can say that I can definitely recommend it. My train arrived on time at the main station and when I boarded, I was greeted nicely by the staff. My seat was comfortable and I had power sockets at my seat. The wifi worked without interruption. When I went to the toilet, I got to see very clean toilets. The service was good. The seats have 1 socket for 2 seats and so far the comfort is ok. I had booked my seat online beforehand and it was very easy and without any problems. There was little traffic and I could travel directly from Mannheim to Munich without having to change trains. The toilets were mostly clean. The journey from Mannheim to Munich on the ICE took a whole 4 hours instead of the 3 hours I had previously said. Luckily I didn't have to change trains, otherwise it would have taken even longer. Otherwise it was like every ICE, comfortable seats, WC still in order and good wifi. Unfortunately, you can only get a good price for this route if you book very early (more than 45 days in advance).

My outward journey had been a disappointment, but the return journey made up for it. The train was on time this time and had everything I needed, such as wifi, charging facilities and clean toilets.
