I was travelling from Mannheim to Munich on business. The train left Mannheim on time, but arrived late in Munich. The quiet compartments and the availability of power sockets are great for working. Unfortunately, the internet connection was a bit slow. Some of the toilets were also very dirty.

Unfortunately, this was one of the few bad experiences I've had with Deutsche Bahn so far. The train was very late, so I missed my connecting train. In addition, the train was very dirty and the seats were also quite dirty. It smelled very unpleasant on the train. Only the price-performance ratio on this connection was good. The wifi was also positive.

Last year in October, I travelled to Munich by train for work and had to change trains in Mannheim. My train was on time, but unfortunately very full. This makes you feel less safe at the station and on the train when it's so crowded. Thanks to my reservation, however, I had a seat. The staff were very friendly and courteous. If the trains are on time and not so full, Deutsche Bahn is a real alternative.

I had to travel from Mannheim to Munich by train today, so I decided to take the ICE. The train was a few minutes late. It was no further. The bad thing was that I could wait at the station. There was an on-board bistro on the train where you can buy a coffee, which is very commendable. The staff are courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, the toilets on the train were a bit clogged, but that didn't bother me, as you're already at your destination after 3 hours.

The ICE journey from Mannheim to Munich was great! The train staff were very, very nice and courteous, and the train was super clean (including the toilets...). The journey from Mannheim to Munich on the ICE took a whole 4 hours instead of the 3 hours I had previously said. Luckily I didn't have to change trains, otherwise it would have taken even longer.
