IconStressful changeover
The train journey from Mainz to Munich with a change in Frankfurt was a mixed experience. The punctuality was commendable and the connection options were varied. The first train was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, the changeover times in Frankfurt were tight, which caused stress. The second train was also clean and the seats were comfortable. There were no complaints about the service. All in all, a good connection.
Advantages
IconGood service
IconClean train
Disadvantages
IconAir conditioning set too high
The journey from Mainz to Munich included a change of trains in Frankfurt and was extremely pleasant. The trains were not particularly busy and so I got a seat despite not having a reservation. It was very clean and tidy on board, although the air conditioning was a little too cold for my liking. Despite this, the service on board was excellent, as all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Advantages
IconUncomplicated changeover
IconNo delays
IconComfort
Disadvantages
IconNo service-orientated employees
I travelled from Mainz to Munich and had to change trains once in Frankfurt. Changing trains was straightforward, as everything was well signposted. The trains were not delayed, so I arrived in Munich on time. It was also very comfortable on board, especially thanks to the comfortable and ergonomic seats and the air conditioning. Points are deducted for the service on this day, as the staff didn't really take time for the passengers.
Advantages
IconFast connection
IconConvenient and stress-free
Disadvantages
IconPunctuality
You can't get from Mainz to Munich in just 4 hours by car. The train has a clear advantage here, both in terms of the speed of the connection and the comfort. You can relax and work during the journey and stretch your legs in the corridor in between. The only thing that could be better is punctuality, as the train is usually at least a few minutes late. You should also not expect too much from the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities, as the toilets are often no longer in the best condition shortly after departure.
