Advantages
IconSimplicity
Disadvantages
IconMany delays
The seats are very comfortable and there is plenty of space. There was wifi and a power socket on the train which worked perfectly. The service is very friendly and helpful. When the train is crowded, it is also a bit noisy. It is also very clean everywhere. Even the toilets are okay. Unfortunately, the trains are often unpunctual. But still, the price-performance ratio is good.
Advantages
IconFast connection
IconRegular trips
Disadvantages
IconPunctuality
On the Mainz Hauptbahnhof to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof train connection, Deutsche Bahn employees are always polite and courteous. Power sockets and wifi are available on the train. The train is always clean and the seats are very comfortable. Unfortunately, the train is not always on time.
Advantages
IconSpeed
Disadvantages
IconNone
I am very satisfied with my journey from Mainz Hauptbahnhof to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, as this journey with Deutsche Bahn only takes about 20 minutes and you get from one to Frankfurt very quickly. The seat reservation worked, the hygiene on the train was also very pleasant and the price of the ticket was also not that high. You don't have to change trains and the punctuality of Deutsche Bahn was also not a problem on this trip. I can only recommend the journey from Mainz main station to Frankfurt main station.
Advantages
Icongets you from A to B
Disadvantages
IconDelay
I travelled on 30.11.22 with this ticket. I have travelled with it several times and have to say that the train is very often delayed. But there are also cancellations, which is not uncommon, so if you have to go to an important appointment, you have to allow 1 -2 hours so that it is really certain that you will arrive. Unfortunately, the prices have also been increased, which is a real shame. The seats are the same as always, so nothing special, but nothing negative either. The wifi, however, is very poor and content takes several seconds to load. I haven't used the toilets yet, but they seem clean. There are also power sockets sometimes, so you can charge your laptop or mobile phone. All in all, it's okay, but it's also time-consuming. So you can use it as an alternative to the car.
Advantages
IconFast journey in under an hour
Disadvantages
IconExpensive on the ICE
The journey from Mainz to Frankfurt only takes half an hour on the ICE. It is recommended as it is much quicker than the regional trains. The ICE is much more comfortable, has wifi and is usually clean in terms of toilets. However, the price-performance ratio is not quite adequate, as the regional train is already significantly cheaper with only a slightly longer journey time and somewhat less comfort.
