The customer opinion was acquired via Cimenio. Cimenio incentivises its users for giving an honest opinion and proving the booking with a photo of the travel ticket.
Advantages
IconA relatively fast connection
IconTrain comfort
Disadvantages
IconLong waiting times
IconRisk of delays
Wifi is not available throughout the train, sockets only in seating areas with 4 seats. This partly depends on the IC, as there are older and newer ones. Seats comfortable, noise was bearable. Reservations can usually be made via app, recommended for high occupancy. The train is generally clean. Transfer times are usually very tight, delays of up to 45 minutes are the order of the day. For the price, however, it is good, as I travelled with the super saver fare.
Advantages
IconWell air conditioned in lower compartments
IconContinuous connection with IC
IconMany free places
Disadvantages
IconConnection could be faster
IconSlight delay at departure
IconNo on-board bistro
On my journey from Karlsruhe to Nuremberg, I travelled on a double-decker IC. The departure was unfortunately delayed by 5-10 minutes, but this delay was almost made up by Nuremberg. All in all, I find over 3 hours a bit long for this route, but you can do it without changing trains. There were many free seats on the train, which meant that you could sit in the lower, well air-conditioned compartments on this very hot day, but it was very warm on the upper floor. The wifi also worked very smoothly and without any problems, and the train attendant was very funny and in a good mood. The train was clean, but unfortunately there was no on-board bistro, but at least there was a snack machine.
Advantages
IconEnough space
Icondelicious food
IconGood equipment
Disadvantages
IconSeating a little tight
My journey by train from Karlsruhe to Nuremberg was a positive experience overall. I was very surprised by the wifi and power sockets and I was able to put my notebook online without any problems. The comfort was also good, especially considering that the seat was a bit cramped for me. I had enough space for my belongings and the food on the train was tasty and reasonably priced. As there was always someone willing to give me information, there was no stress when booking or posting the timetable. In terms of cleanliness and hygiene, I have no negative comments to make. He also managed to reach the destination station on time. The value for money met my expectations as the price was pleasant compared to the plane or any other mode of transport. All in all, I can say that this trip was a great experience.
Advantages
IconA stable connection
IconGood service
Disadvantages
IconEverything went without a hitch
The train arrived on time and the timetable was adhered to exactly, which was very stress-free for me. The ticket price was reasonable and the price-performance ratio was right in my opinion. The cleanliness of the train was very good, the seats, floor and windows must have been cleaned recently. The wifi provided worked reliably and allowed me to be productive during the journey. The toilets on the train were clean and well equipped. However, more spacious facilities could be an advantage. The seats on the train were very comfortable and well-padded, there was plenty of legroom, and the seats were reclining. Overall, this train was a good experience, mainly due to its punctuality and seating comfort.
Advantages
IconWell-functioning app
IconClean
IconStable internet connection
Disadvantages
IconSticky floor
The train arrived with a minimal delay of 5 minutes, but left a little earlier than planned. The train was clean, but the floor was sticky and made unpleasant noises. The train also had a bistro, which offered fresh coffee and packaged sandwiches. The seats were fine, but not modern. The toilet facilities were well equipped and hygienic. The train staff were able to answer my questions without any problems. I sat by the windows, which were well cleaned, and was able to watch the scenery while travelling. There was also a stable wifi on the train.
