I boarded the train. The interior of the train was very comfortable and there was enough space to put my things. I sat down and it smelled fresh. The seats, floors and windows looked very clean. The internet was uninterrupted. I felt comfortable. After some time, I ordered some food, it arrived quickly, was tasty and fresh. My train also arrived on time, I can only recommend this trip in first class.

I am very satisfied with my train journey from Cologne to Frankfurt. The price was unbeatable and much cheaper than a comparable car journey. The facilities on the Deutsche Bahn train were very good. The delay of the train was also within reasonable limits, so I would repeat the journey at any time.

It was a wonderful trip in first class. I liked everything, which is why it gets five stars and I definitely recommend this trip. The wifi was good throughout, although it was used by many. My seat was very comfortable and I also had a power socket at my seat to charge my mobile phone or laptop. The staff were very personable and did their bit by providing very good service. I ordered a butter croissant with a fruit tea, both were very good for the price and also very tasty. The whole train was clean and especially the toilets. Everything ran on time, a wonderful journey.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconSlight delay
A very fast connection to get to Frankfurt Airport. Unfortunately, the connection had a slight delay. If someone had to catch a connecting train or even a flight, it could become very critical. The train attendants were friendly. The wifi connection was relatively stable and made it possible to work. Announcements for the stops were incomprehensible and a bit too quiet. But you could pay attention to it yourself.

The train ride was very comfortable and pleasant, the seats are very cosy, you have armrests and legroom. There are power sockets on site and you can connect to the wifi for free. There are toilets, which are quite clean. What I didn't like about the ride was that it was a bit noisy and sometimes there are a lot of passengers. The price is quite reasonable, so I would recommend the train to anyone.

This journey from Cologne to Frankfurt went without any problems and was on time. I selected my seat online in the rest area and received it. The toilets had been very clean. My seat had 1 power socket and I had a view out of the window. The price-performance ratio was not more expensive than expected and therefore ok. It had been quiet on the train the whole time and I was able to sleep in peace.

I like to book my holidays from Frankfurt airport because the airfares are cheaper from there. That's why I always travel by train. The train connection from Cologne to Frankfurt is optimal. You can take either the ICE or the regional trains. This means that the trains arrive every minute. The price is a bit too high in my opinion. Nevertheless, it is very worthwhile. The trains are usually very clean. Another very positive thing to mention is that they arrive very punctually.

I was on my way to a seminar and chose this train connection, the online purchase as well as the seat reservation was hassle-free and very easy. I planned my trip earlier in case the train was late, which it was, 35 minutes late. Because I couldn't afford to be late, I chose this connection because the train went through. The train looked okay, the seats were not completely clean, but that is understandable. What I couldn't understand is why the toilet was locked? That's a no-go! And for the ticket price, it's actually outrageous. That's why I only got 3 stars. The staff couldn't help me either. Unfortunately, there was no wifi, but there was a power socket near me. My conclusion: fast yes, service not so good.

I travelled in first class, the journey was pleasant. This ride deserves five stars out of five. The food was delicious. The train looked nice. The staff was nice and also very polite. I had plenty of room for my luggage. I had plenty of space in my seat. The train and especially the toilets were clean. The view from the window was very nice. The volume on the train was pleasant. I could charge my mobile phone using a power socket. Also, my seat was comfortable. I also had access to great internet. A wonderful trip that I definitely recommend.

The journey was to go directly to the airport. Unfortunately, the train was 30 minutes late, which can sometimes be really upsetting for a trip to the airport. When the train finally arrived, everything worked out fine. My reserved seat was free, the wifi was available and the power socket at the seat could be used. Unfortunately, the bistro was closed during the journey. It was pleasantly quiet at my seat and I was able to get a lot done at my table.

I use this connection quite often as my girlfriend lives in Cologne. Mostly very good experiences. Unfortunately I had to change trains this time, which was a bit of a shame. Apart from that, the journey was quite pleasant. The staff were friendly and open to jokes. Otherwise, the price-performance ratio was quite fair. The toilet was not so clean, but still acceptable. There was stable wifi.

Intercity

About
Intercity is a widely recognized brand for express train services that connect cities over longer distances, often with limited stops and comfortable carriages for long-distance travel. The term "Intercity" originated in the United Kingdom in 1966 with British Rail's electrification of the West Coast Main Line, becoming a brand for their main-line passenger routes. Today, Intercity services vary across Europe, with some countries like Switzerland offering modern, high-standard trains, while in others, they may be older compared to newer high-speed options. Many European countries use "InterCity" as an official brand name for regular, long-distance train services meeting specific speed and comfort criteria. For example, PKP Intercity is a major Polish rail operator connecting cities and tourist resorts within Poland and across Europe. Trenitalia's Intercity trains in Italy offer an affordable and widespread means of rail transport, connecting various cities and towns. These trains typically offer Standard and First Class services, with amenities like power sockets and sometimes catering.
