It was a relaxed journey from Frankfurt airport to Cologne main station on the ICE 616. The train is very comfortable due to its soft and comfortable seats. The service on board was also great, with coffee served at the seat. The journey time was less than an hour, which I personally found very impressive. Overall, I can highly recommend this connection.

The journey from Frankfurt to Cologne was great. The train was mega-punctual, fast and comfortable. My carriage was clean and tidy and the staff on board were friendly. Wifi worked. Unfortunately, the price is a bit high for spontaneous bookers and the occupancy rate on the day of travel was high. Also, of course, you are not quite as flexible with a train connection. Overall, however, a good trip.

The train ride was quite pleasant, the seats are very comfortable, you have legroom, a table and armrests, you can charge mobile phones on the spot at the sockets and use the wifi for free, there are toilets for the passengers which are quite clean. What I didn't like about the journey was that it was a bit noisy and that there are sometimes a lot of guests and if you're unlucky you don't have a seat. I really enjoyed the train ride and would recommend it to others.

I travelled from Frankfurt Airport to Cologne Central Station on the ICE 616. There is nothing bad to say about this journey. The train was overall very clean and well maintained as well as comfortable. The journey time of just under 1 hour is amazing. The service on board was good, coffee was served at the seat. The train was not delayed, so I also caught my connecting train.

I booked this train with a reserved seat by the window. Unfortunately, when I boarded, it was not free, but the rest of the carriage was, so I simply took a seat behind it, as I didn't mind. The carriage was a quiet area and was mostly quiet all the time. The toilets in my carriage were very clean and there was plenty of toilet paper, soap and towels. There was wifi on the train, which I didn't use, but there was a socket at my seat. The rest of the price-performance ratio was good.

I had already had to travel to Frankfurt by Deutsche Bahn and had already had good experiences. Unfortunately, the ICE from Frankfurt to Cologne was delayed due to a fire brigade operation, but this was handled very well by the railway. Despite the somewhat tense atmosphere, the service was very good and the staff at the on-board bistro very friendly. As I had also reserved a seat in advance, the search in this regard was not difficult. Personally, I also find the long-distance train station at Frankfurt Airport a bit confusing. Unfortunately, the train arrived at Cologne Hbf almost an hour late, but I still find the connection with a normal journey time of 1 hour very pleasant and fast, as there is no need to change trains. I would particularly like to emphasise the cleanliness of the toilets on the train. There were also power sockets at every seat, but due to the relatively high number of passengers, the quality of the wifi was disappointingly rather poor. The seats were very comfortable. I can really only recommend the connection.

The journey from Frankfurt Airport to Cologne was on ICE 616, in second class and without seat reservations. There were enough seats available anyway. The train was exceptionally clean and hygienic, the seats were not worn. The journey time was very short. There was a bistro, power sockets and wifi on board, which I made use of. The service on board was good, the staff was very friendly.

We travelled from Frankfurt Airport back to Cologne on the DB ICE. As we had just arrived fresh from South Korea, a quick and pleasant journey back home was very important to us. The train arrived relatively on time, the seats were very comfortable and offered enough storage space for our bags. We could stow our suitcases at the entrance. The seats had enough power sockets and the internet was very stable. The train journey went without a hitch and we arrived at Cologne Central Station on time. After such a long journey, we are very grateful to DB for such an uncomplicated and quick trip back home. Overall, I would definitely recommend this trip.

We landed in Frankfurt after our flight from Japan and wanted to take the ICE train home to Cologne. As we didn't know exactly when we would land in Frankfurt, we opted for a Flex Ticket so that we would be flexible about the time if there were any delays when we landed. The train arrived on time and we were also on time in Cologne. Unfortunately, we didn't have a seat reservation, so we had to stand in the full train for the hour. But that was fine for the short time. The wifi on the train was very stable and offered a stable internet connection. To wash my hands, I went to the toilet once and they looked very clean. The staff were polite and very helpful when we needed to store our heavy suitcases. Felt very comfortable and would do it again.

We just landed back in Frankfurt from our trip to Japan and were able to catch our train to Cologne with a very slight delay. The train was pleasantly full. Unfortunately, when we went to our reserved seats, they were occupied. However, it was no problem to get the people there away. So we were able to travel relaxed from Frankfurt to Cologne. Fortunately, we also had a power socket between the two seats again. So our exhausted smartphone batteries could be recharged. The wifi connection was once again nothing. But the route is fortunately very well developed to get on the internet with 5G. Also, the price was again very good and justified. The conductor came once briefly, scanned our tickets and wished us a nice evening. Very nice!

As always, a very positive trip that I would definitely give 5/5 stars if it weren't for one small drawback ...... Unfortunately, we were a whole hour late. On a journey that only takes 70 minutes, this is of course twice as annoying. Nevertheless, the train remains a better alternative for me than travelling by car. Apart from that, everything was very clean and didn't smell.
