On this route, the train accelerates to over 300 km/h, so the journey takes less than an hour and a half! The train was on time and I found the red-coloured design of the train particularly appealing. The seat was comfortable and offered me good opportunities to work thanks to the power socket and wifi (which is quite limited in second class). The toilets, which were formally separated by gender, were cramped but clean. The luggage racks by the doors were also a bit cramped, although I was lucky as there was still enough space in Cologne.
I had only bought my non-cancellable ticket a month beforehand, so the journey wasn't a bargain, but it wasn't overly expensive either.

The journey only took 1 hour and 22 minutes, which I found extremely pleasant. In this short time you have the opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. The train was on time, which is an important factor for me.
The interior of the train was modern and comfortable. The seats were comfortable and offered enough space to feel at ease during the journey. The cleanliness of the train was also exemplary. The wifi was stable, which made it easy to work or wifi while travelling.
The staff on board were friendly and helpful. They were always available to answer questions and made sure that all passengers felt comfortable.
The only downside was the price of the tickets. These were quite high compared to other modes of transport, which made the journey a little less attractive. I would have liked there to be cheaper options to make the trip accessible to more travellers.

When I asked for my seat, they also described how to get there in detail. The train was very quiet and very clean. The toilets all worked and there were power sockets and a stable wifi connection at my seat. Overall, the ticket was relatively cheap for the route and journey time. What I was most pleased about was that I didn't have to change trains! The only downside, however, was that no seat reservations were displayed on the train. But that wasn't so bad, as the staff were always helpful.
