New York to Berlin flights depart from either Newark or JFK Airport. Newark Airport is located 24 km southwest of Manhattan and can be reached via train from Penn Station in central New York. Passengers can take the 30 minute train journey to Newark Airport Railway Station where they can connect with the AirTrain Newark for travel directly to their terminal. JFK Airport is located 20 km southeast of Manhattan and can be reached via the New York Subway which runs 24 hours a day. Passengers should disembark at the JFK subway station and board the AirTrain JFK for travel to their terminal.

Historical monuments like the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag mix with all-night party culture in Berlin. International flights arrive at Tegel Airport found to the northwest of Berlin, 8 km from the city centre. Bus travel to central Berlin takes 40 minutes via the Jet Express service. Alternatively passengers can take a local bus service to Jakob-Kaiser Platz U-Bahn station where they can make use of the U-Bahn and S-Bahn train network. Those arriving at night are suggested to take a 25 minute taxi journey to Berlin's city centre.
