It had been quite relaxing on the ICE. The staff checked tickets in a friendly manner and greeted people in the corridors. The on-board bistro was open and the staff were also friendly and prepared food quickly. In my compartment, however, many of the available sockets did not work. The internet, on the other hand, worked perfectly. The train was very clean, as were the toilets. The train itself was very quiet. The train was about 10 minutes late at its destination.

The wifi worked well on the train from Berlin to Basel. The seats were comfortable, but it was a bit too noisy.... Otherwise, friendly staff and good service. Hygiene standard impeccable. Price-performance ratio very good. I would recommend it to others. The facilities are great. The cleanliness too. The train was very punctual.

Exploring Berlin's Historic Landmarks

The Brandenburg Gate, an iconic symbol of Berlin, was constructed in the late 18th century and originally served as a neoclassical triumphal arch. Its significance lies not only in its architectural beauty but also as a powerful emblem of unity and peace following Germany's reunification in 1990. Unique features include its stunning Quadriga statue atop the gate, which depicts the goddess of victory driving a chariot pulled by four horses.

The Berlin Wall Memorial stands as a poignant reminder of the division that once split East and West Berlin from 1961 to 1989. This site is significant for commemorating those who lost their lives attempting to cross into freedom while serving as an educational resource about this tumultuous period in history. Visitors can explore unique elements like the preserved section of the wall along with informative displays that illustrate personal stories behind this monumental barrier.

The Reichstag Building has been at the heart of German politics since it opened in 1894; it famously housed debates leading up to both World Wars and later became symbolic during Germany’s democratic revival post-World War II. Its significance today is underscored by its role as home to Germany's parliament (Bundestag) where crucial decisions are made regarding national governance. A standout feature is its striking glass dome designed by architect Norman Foster, offering visitors panoramic views over Berlin while representing transparency within government processes.
