Trenitalia offers about four daily trips to reach Nice from Rome by train. Depending on the type of train chosen, the duration of the trip varies from eight to fourteen hours. The first train leaves Rome Ostiense shortly after midnight to reach Nice Ville around 12:00 the following day. A change is planned at the Genoa Piazza Principe Station. The last train leaves around 12:00 from Roma Termini station and arrives in Nice around 05:00 in the morning with change at Milano Centrale station.
The train from Rome to Nice leaves from two stations: Roma Ostiense and Roma Termini. Roma Ostiense is located in Piazzale dei Partigiani, in the south of Rome; from here starts the tram line 3, as well as several stops of the ATAC bus and the lines of the Regional Railways of Lazio. Termini Station, instead, is located in Piazza dei Cinquecento and is the busiest in Italy. Located in the city center, it is easily accessible by various means of transport: in addition to rail services of all categories, there are some tram lines and many ATAC buses, even at night (recognizable by the symbol of the owl).
