The train journey from Mannheim main station to Freiburg im Breisgau turned out to be difficult. The train was massively delayed in Mannheim, so I arrived very, very late in Freiburg. There, I had to walk to my flat because there were no more public transport services. It was very noisy on the train. It was definitely clean, but the comfort left a lot to be desired. This disappointed me a lot, because the aspects of environmental friendliness and time use are actually very good.

Disadvantages
IconNo on-board bistro
The journey from Mannheim to Freiburg was made without changing trains via ICE via Offenburg and Karlsruhe. Unfortunately, the coffee machine was faulty that day and so no hot drinks could be served. Wifi and power sockets were available. The comfort of the seats was good as usual and the journey was very quiet. The cleanliness of the carriages and tables could be improved. The toilets were fine.
