From Kiel to Berlin I had to change trains once in Hamburg. I first travelled on a regional express train, which was very full. However, the interior was clean and the toilets were hygienic. The seats were also comfortable and there were power sockets and internet. Changing trains in Hamburg went smoothly as both trains were on time. From Hamburg to Berlin I took the ICE, which had a normal capacity utilisation. It was also clean and hygienic inside. Unfortunately, it was far too warm for me in the passenger compartment. The on-board bistro was also not open. Otherwise, everything else was fine. The ticket price in particular was favourable for this route. Overall, I can definitely recommend the journey. Especially as the changeover worked out so well.
