We recently took the Deutsche Bahn train from Cologne to the north. We spent a few days in Cologne. The train pulled into the station on time and arrived in Norden only slightly late. The train was clean but some of the bins were overflowing. Staff were very friendly, fellow passengers were helped quickly because their connection had been cancelled. The technology also worked well so far.

We recently took the Deutsche Bahn IC from Cologne to the north. The train pulled into Cologne central station on time and went straight through to Emden, where we only had to change trains once. The train was clean, the seats comfortable and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The air-conditioning cooled the interior adequately and we were able to enjoy the scenery rushing past us.

We booked our return journey from Cologne to the north in advance. The train pulled into the main station in Cologne on time and was slightly delayed in the meantime until the only change in Emden. Nevertheless, we were still able to catch the connecting train. The ticket control was professional and very friendly. The train was overall quite clean, although experiences on other routes were somewhat better. The air conditioning and the power sockets worked well. The seats were also very comfortable for 2nd class. It was a pleasant journey, with slight weaknesses in punctuality.

I travelled by train from Cologne to the north to finally relax on the North Sea. First of all, everything went great, the train arrived on time, the wifi worked great, the train was very well maintained inside and out. The sanitary facilities were in good condition. Unfortunately, there were some delays during the journey due to a technical fault on one of the trains, which meant that the onward journey was delayed by 30 minutes

I like to go north for a long weekend to switch off. I like to use this train connection for this. There really is no more relaxing way to travel. The trains are usually very clean and also have an on-board bistro. The prices are of course very expensive. On this journey, the train was even on time and there were no negative incidents.
