I travelled by train from Cologne to Neuss to visit a friend there. Unfortunately, the train arrived late, which wasn't great. I had to change trains once during the journey and it took just over an hour in total. However, the train was otherwise in good condition and very well maintained. There was even wifi. My experience with Deutsche Bahn was therefore quite positive.
