Disadvantages

IconOnboard bistro unusually poor
For this route of approx. 900 km, you only need about 6.5 hours with a TGV and that by direct connection. With a Sparpreis EU, it is also really cheap and another advantage in a TGV is the safe seat without an additional reservation. The train was quite full on this day, but because of the assigned seat, there were no people sitting around in the aisle and you are sure to find a seat. Overall, the train was also quite clean and there were power sockets and wifi. Compared to an ICE, I was a little disappointed with the selection and quality of the on-board bistro.
