The ICE is a good way of travelling from Hamburg to Karlsruhe. The toilets were clean, the staff were friendly and catering was provided. Unfortunately, I arrived in Karlsruhe an hour later than planned. As compensation, we were offered free water. Apart from that, there wasn't much to complain about.

I travelled from Hamburg to Karlsruhe on the ICE 1577 at 8:28. The train was on time, there was also a restaurant on board, the prices were absolutely ok. The journey was pleasant, and thanks to the Comfort Check-in there was no ticket inspection. Wifi and the sockets worked. Unfortunately, there was a spontaneous diversion, which meant that the train couldn't travel through Frankfurt and was a little late, which didn't bother me too much. The train was also relatively empty, so a seat reservation was not absolutely necessary.
