The southern cities of Malaga and Cordova are linked by railway services that run 19 times a day on weekdays and 16 times a day on weekends. The trip takes anything between 48 minutes (high speed trains) to 1 hour (all other train types). All trains are direct and are operated by RENFE, Spain's state-owned railway company. The first train of the day leaves Malaga at 6:20 a.m. and the last at 8:15 p.m., with a later service on Fridays and Sundays (9:20 p.m.). On weekends, the earliest train departs at 8:00 a.m.
Departure Airport: Malaga Maria Zambrano, which is located in a busy shopping area just under 1 mile away from the city center and 1.2 miles away from the harbour. The city's beach and waterfront area is a 12-minute drive away via the N340 road.
Arrival Airport: Cordoba station, located right next to the main bus station and only 700 metres away from the Old Town and other tourist landmarks. The city center and Old Town can be reached on foot in under 30 minutes, whereas the riverside area is further away, some 1.8 miles south of the station.
