Advantages

IconQuiet
Disadvantages
IconToilet tap did not work
The journey was pleasant and punctual, I had to change trains once in Mannheim and this went without a hitch. I didn't use the wifi on the train and can't say anything about it, but about the sockets, there was 1 for 2 seats and this also worked. I booked my seat online directly with the booking and this also went without any problems. I was always informed about information about the journey in the DB app. The journey time of just over 4 hours was absolutely fine and so was the price-performance ratio for me. The trains from Cologne to Mannheim and from Mannheim to Munich were both fine and identical in design.

IconIt had been very quiet on the train despite many people
Disadvantages
IconSeats and tables were dirty
It had been very quiet on the train, although there were many passengers in my compartment. The seats were comfortable, but many of them were dirty, as were the tables. Otherwise, the cleanliness of both the toilets and the floors was very clean. The staff had been friendly and made constant welcome and connection announcements. The ticket check was quick and the train had been on time.
Advantages
IconGood hygiene
IconNice staff
Disadvantages
IconNo seat
The train from Cologne Central Station to Munich Central Station was a good journey. But the problem was that unfortunately I couldn't find a seat. You can reserve a seat, but for me it wasn't worth it. In general, the sockets always have a loose connection when you plug in the charger. But my opinion in general is that it's better to use the train instead of going by car, because it's just cheaper. You can relax during the journey. Watch your film in peace.
Advantages
IconPleasant travelling
Disadvantages
IconTrain cancellations are followed by overloads and delays
The train was a little late and very congested at the beginning due to a train cancellation. However, the train emptied again and the journey was pleasant. The internet was good and electricity was available. We arrived late at our destination. Basically, however, it is a favourable alternative.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconNone
The staff on the train journey offered excellent service and helped wherever they could. Cleanliness and hygiene were of the utmost importance. The reception and network connection were also very stable. The train arrived exactly at the scheduled time and also arrived at the destination on time. The ticket was very good value for money. I had nothing but positive experiences on the return journey.

The journey with Deutsche Bahn was very pleasant. The journey was very quick and uncomplicated. The service was courteous and you were constantly given information about connecting trains and arrival times. There is also the opportunity to receive discounts with Deutsche Bahn via the bonus programme. The toilets were clean and there was a power socket at the seat. We arrived in Munich on time. Likewise in Cologne, the starting point of the journey.

I travelled from Cologne to Munich before a city trip. The train arrived on time and had no further delays or disruptions during the journey. Unfortunately, the wifi on offer didn't work, which I thought was a shame. However, the train itself was very well maintained and the sanitary facilities were great. I had to change trains once, which I thought was totally fine. In my opinion, the price was also totally ok and I will definitely be travelling with Deutsche Bahn again
