Discover Railjet

Railjet refers to the high-speed trains of the national Austrian railway company ÖBB and Czech Railways (CD). The lines connect the two countries with the rest of Europe. Railjet operates routes daily, and sometimes multiple times per day. Some of the popular lines are within Austria, such as the Vienna to Salzburg train, as well as others that connect to surrounding countries, including Budapest and Prague.

The main station in Austria’s capital city is the Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station). Aboard Railjet trains, there are three different cabin classes passengers can enjoy. These classes are either Economy, Business, or First Class. The Railjet trains have a capacity for over 400 passengers onboard their fleet. This includes room for accessible seating as well as space for those traveling with bicycles. The Railjet trains are known for their high level of service and extra comfort onboard, even for those traveling with cheap Railjet train tickets. All of the classes offer adjustable seats and electrical outlets every two seats, as well as snacks and beverage service and silent areas.
