El Al Israel Airlines, founded in 1948, is the flag carrier of Israel. The airline operates scheduled domestic and international passenger and cargo flights from its main base at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv to nearly 50 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, Africa, and the Far East.
