Another option is to take a indirect train also to the St Charles Railway Station, with a one-way ticket costing 5.10 euros and taking 23 minutes. You can catch a free shuttle bus service to the train departing from platform five. There are also many cab services available from the center of the city to the airport, available to be booked online in advance, or hailed down in the moment. The journey costs an average of 50 euros in the day time and 60 euros in the evening, and takes around 20 to 30 minutes.

Local tips: how to travel the airport like a local

Marseille Provence Airport is home to 2 terminals, arriving flights are located within terminal 1 and departures within terminal 2. Terminal 1 of the airport is separated into hall A and hall B, with A being home to international arrivals and B, domestic. The airport is small and all the terminals are very close together so there are no connecting shuttles available. However, the airport is very easy to navigate and well signposted so those with limited mobility or under time pressure can travel through with ease.
