I took the train from Munich to Budapest a few weeks ago and the station from Munich to Freilassing was one of the first stops. Nice staff and internet contribute a lot to the good comfort. The poorly cleaned toilets unfortunately undo the good. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the price-performance ratio.

On my trip to visit friends in Budapest, the journey from Munich to Freilassing was my first stop. The good wifi on board made the journey a little more comfortable in my eyes, but the overall background noise was unpleasant. The toilets were definitely not clean and hardly usable. Unfortunately, there was also stress when changing trains, as the station was not really well signposted. Despite all this, I think you can save a lot of fuel costs by taking the train.
