The journey from Munich to Rosenheim by train worked well, but the train was very full. The price of the ticket for this route is unbeatable. The frequency of the trains is high and so you reach your destination quickly. Unfortunately, the train was a bit dirty on the day I travelled and is not particularly comfortable overall. However, I would choose this connection again if I were travelling in this region again.

When I took the train from Munich to Venice a few weeks ago, the first stop was Rosenheim and I have to say that the journey was top in terms of price-performance. I think the staff was very nice and the comfort was adapted accordingly. Nevertheless, the lack of hygiene in the toilets still annoys me. The background noise was also a bit too loud for my ears. Unfortunately, you also have to expect delays on the train.
Advantages
IconSeats and equipment sufficient
IconStaff friendly
IconNo high occupancy and quiet in the passenger compartment
IconNo changeover necessary
Disadvantages
IconPassenger compartment dirty
IconDelay of 10 minutes
This journey had been very relaxing. The train was not very busy, so it was very quiet in the passenger compartment and there was no need to change trains, so it was very comfortable. However, the train had been very dirty and about 10 minutes late. The staff was friendly and the seats and equipment were acceptable.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconWorn train
On my journey with the train EC 219 from Heidelberg to Salzburg, I also travelled the stretch from Munich to Rosenheim. The train was a bit worn and looked technically questionable. The journey time from Munich to Rosenheim is very short, which I personally welcome. The on-board staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the on-board bistro was closed. The train was not delayed for the entire duration of the journey. There were enough seats so that no one had to stand. I travelled second class and did not make a reservation.
Advantages
IconFast
Disadvantages
IconNone
The journey was quite short and I am very satisfied! The train left on time and arrived on time. There was wifi during the journey, but for some reason it didn't work. The seats were comfortable and I had enough legroom. There was enough room for me to stow my suitcases and the toilets were clean. You could also open the windows a little so that I could get some fresh air.
Advantages
IconBeautiful landscapes
IconGood service
Disadvantages
IconTrains occasionally overcrowded
The train journey from Munich to Rosenheim impresses with its efficiency, beautiful scenery and long distance. With a short journey time, it is ideal for commuters and day trippers. The trains are generally punctual and offer a comfortable service. One drawback, however, is that the trains are often overcrowded at peak times, which can make the journey less pleasant. Overall, however, the connection is reliable and recommended.
