What a great experience! The train from Frankfurt am Main to Dortmund was modern and equipped with free wifi and plenty of power sockets, which made it easy to work. The seats were extremely comfortable and the journey was quiet and relaxed. The catering was delicious and the staff were extremely attentive. My reservation was effortless. In terms of journey time, the time flew by as the train completed the journey efficiently and on time. An all-round great travelling experience!

I often use Deutsche Bahn to get around on business. This morning I travelled from Frankfurt to Dortmund by train. I really have to praise the train at this point and give it a clear recommendation in advance. Not only did the train arrive on time, but it was also in super clean condition. The seating areas were clean and well maintained, the train was not littered and the sanitary facilities were clean. The food on board was delicious. Another positive aspect for me was that the wifi offered and the sockets for charging your devices were available and worked. Travelling with Deutsche Bahn is very comfortable.
Advantages
IconFast drive
Disadvantages
IconVery overpriced journey
That was one of the most expensive and worst journeys. All in all, of course, it wasn't that bad, but in comparison it was a real disappointment for the price. I paid more money than I normally pay for a ticket and my mood was worse as a result. The service was just as bad-tempered and rather grim. At least I arrived in Dortmund quickly and without delay

I travelled by train from Frankfurt Central Station to Dortmund Central Station on 10 April. Time: 15:26 - 18:57. The journey was very pleasant, it was very reasonably priced. There were no delays and I arrived on time as planned. Unfortunately, the internet is a bit weak, you can't work well on a laptop. The train was not very hygienic, the toilets were very smelly, which was very unpleasant. For the price-performance ratio, however, it was still recommendable. Train no. 2226
Advantages
IconIt was very favourable
Disadvantages
IconThere were no negative characteristics
I travelled from Frankfurt Central Station to Dortmund Central Station yesterday. The train was relatively punctual. I had found the ticket a few days ago for a very reasonable price. My friend and I sat next to each other and we had the opportunity to spread out, as no one was sitting next to us. We both had separate sockets for our mobile phones. I also asked for wifi and we got it. We travelled for 3 hours and 30 minutes. The toilets were also very clean and new. I had packed a few things in my bag, so I didn't need to buy anything from there, but you still had the option. So I made myself comfortable with my friend and we watched a film. I would recommend it to anyone and would travel by train again myself.

I really like the train journey because I reached my destination very quickly. I also liked the fact that the ticket was very cheap. Another thing I liked was that I could buy the train ticket very easily online. I also liked the fact that the wifi was very good. However, I didn't like the fact that the train was 5 minutes late and the toilets were dirty. Another positive aspect is that I didn't have to change trains.

I travelled on IC 2320 for about four and a half hours. My seat was very clean and the journey was quite nice as I was able to do my work. It was a bit noisy at the beginning and that bothered me a bit, but that happens sometimes. Otherwise quite good.

What I found very convincing about this train journey from Frankfurt to Dortmund was that I was able to book the ticket very easily and it was quite cheap. I also liked the fact that the train wasn't delayed and that I arrived at my destination quickly. Another point that I liked was the good wifi. However, there was one thing I didn't like and that was the dirty toilets.

I travelled from Frankfurt to Dortmund with my husband. The train was actually on time and we made our connection in Dortmund. As always, the staff were very friendly and courteous and the on-board bistro had plenty of choice. The train was very quiet and we were able to enjoy the almost 1½ hour journey. Unfortunately, the toilet hygiene was not at all good and more attention should be paid to this.

I travelled by ICE from Frankfurt am Main main station to Dortmund main station. I booked the ticket online, which was quick and easy. The train was on time and the journey took about 2 1/2 hours. The toilet facilities were not clean enough for my taste. The ticket checks went smoothly. It was so relaxed that I slept through most of the journey.

The journey from Frankfurt to Dortmund turned out to be a pleasant experience. Especially because the service staff were extremely friendly to me. In addition, the train was pleasantly ventilated and the seats were very ergonomic and comfortable. I can only praise the cleanliness of the train. There were no delays during the entire journey. The journey time was relatively manageable.
Advantages

The train journey from Frankfurt to Dortmund was comfortable, with friendly service and good cleanliness. The journey time was reasonable but the price was a little high for what was on offer. Unfortunately there was a delay due to technical problems, but the staff were generally helpful.

What struck me as particularly positive was that the train was on time to the minute. It was also very clean and hygienic. Any leftover food or other debris had all been cleared away beforehand. I would also like to emphasise that the staff went out of their way to make the journey as pleasant as possible. Overall, I give it five stars and my personal recommendation.

We arrived on time at our destination station, Dortmund Hbf. The conductor was very friendly to me and the train was clean. The toilet was clean too. There was wifi, which worked rather wifi. I didn't have to change trains and stayed on the same train the whole time. I was happy with the seats, which were quite comfortable. The journey took about 3.5 hours. It was pleasantly quiet on the train.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconPunctuality
I would particularly like to emphasise that it was a very clean train with well-cleaned seats. However, I was a little disappointed when I learnt that the train would arrive almost 20 minutes late. The staff were very friendly and explained the situation calmly. I would definitely recommend booking your ticket online, as there are usually problems when buying tickets on the spot and, in the worst case, you may not be able to travel.

IconPunctuality
IconShort journey duration
Disadvantages
IconSomewhat noisy passengers
I travelled from Frankfurt to Dortmund on the ICE. The journey was quite short and pleasant. Overall, the train seemed immaculate and clean. The passengers were a bit noisy at times, which limited the comfort. Also worth mentioning are the very beautiful landscapes along the route. The train was also on time.
Advantages
IconClean
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctual
I was travelling on business on the ICE 13 from Frankfurt to Dortmund for an important appointment. Unfortunately, the train arrived 30 minutes late, so I only just managed to catch my connection on time. This incident made me very angry and upset inside. However, the train made a clean and well-kept impression, the charging facilities and wifi were available and so I was at least able to continue working on my laptop. Unfortunately, I can't say anything worth mentioning about the sanitary facilities. The connection took about 70 minutes.
Advantages
IconPunctual
Disadvantages
Iconunfriendly staff
I would like to start with a big advantage. The train left on time and arrived on time after just over 2 hours. The staff made an absolutely disinterested impression and refused to give any information after being asked several times. Inside it was reasonably clean and the benches were comfortable. The price-performance ratio is good and I recommend the ride.
Advantages
IconDirect connection
IconTravelling comfort
Iconspeed
Disadvantages
IconMany stops in the Ruhr region
I travelled directly and punctually from Frankfurt to Dortmund in just under an hour on the ICE 1912. The speed surprised me, as it felt like there were a bit too many stops in the Ruhr region. I travelled with my Interrail ticket without a seat reservation in 1st class. This meant I could have a table all to myself and enjoy all the space and the comfortable leather seat. There was enough time to watch a film in the ICE portal. The wifi and the power socket at my seat also worked. The train was very clean and the on-seat service at the on-board restaurant was very friendly, bringing us all biscuits and offering coffee (albeit for a fee).
