I can only recommend the return journey of my Düsseldorf trip to a limited extent. I was in a hurry to catch the train. When I arrived at the station, it was unfortunately late and cancelled in the end. So I had to change to another connection and even change the track. This was very stressful. The next train was of course very crowded. I couldn't get a seat and it was very noisy. In addition, this train was also very dirty and outdated.

We took the Deutsche Bahn ICE from Düsseldorf to Cologne and the journey was very pleasant. The seats were very comfortable and offered enough storage space for our bags, a power socket and enough legroom. The train was very modern and the toilets looked very hygienic. The ICE offered a bistro on board where you can buy small snacks and drinks during the journey. The internet on board was very good and you could surf the net without any problems. Overall, I found the trip very good and would recommend it to anyone.

If I had driven the distance from Düsseldorf to Cologne by car, it would probably have taken me over 1 hour. By train it was only 25 minutes. No other means of transport can offer this comfort, especially during rush hour. Especially when you consider that the journey only cost 15 € and that you didn't have to concentrate on driving but could enjoy the time. I would absolutely recommend the trip to others, because besides the price-performance ratio, the comfort was very high.

I travelled from Düsseldorf main station to Cologne main station at the weekend on the Deutsche Bahn ICE. The journey was quite pleasant, there were no problems and the on-board staff were very nice. The journey only took about 25 minutes, so I didn't reserve a seat and, as the train was a bit full, I didn't even look for a seat. Surely one could have found a seat. However, it was not necessary for the short duration. Basically, I can only recommend the journey, as a car journey from Düsseldorf to Cologne would take much longer with the city traffic. In addition, the ticket cost only €15 and was good value for money.

Cons
IconWifi did not work properly
The journey was generally very relaxed, the staff were nice. There were very few people on the train and therefore many seats were free. The train in general was very clean. There were no incidents during my journey. The only negative point is that the promised wifi did not work most of the time.

The train was on time this time, surprisingly for Deutsche Bahn. The ride was also very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. But the toilet was unusable and the corona rules were not always observed by everyone either. Nevertheless, the journey was pleasant and bearable.

Good short haul ride which unfortunately had no wifi or power socket. The seats were not comfortable and it was very noisy. Didn't get any catering either. Staff was friendly and gave me information. Reservation was not possible. Toilets were clean. I did not have to change trains and the train was on time. Price-performance ratio is OK.

The journey was good and pleasant as the train also arrived on time. The staff answered questions and provided food. Surprisingly, the toilets were clean and freshly cleaned. Unfortunately, I rarely have this experience. Regrettably, the windows were a little scratched.

The journey was not good at all. I had no wifi and no power socket. Only a rubbish bin. There was no service, but I had a reservation option. I used it, but there were other people in my seat. They did not leave the pitch after being asked to do so. I even showed them my reservation. I got information on the train. The toilets were very clean. I thought that was nice. I didn't have to change trains. But I almost missed my appointment because the train arrived late. So the price-performance ratio is OK.

Last year, I took a trip from Düsseldorf to Cologne with DB. In fact, I was very impressed with the service. The workers were very friendly and quickly looked after my interests. You could also quickly connect your mobile phone to the wifi. The seats were very comfortable and clean. It was pleasantly quiet. The toilets were very clean and hygienic. There was no need to change planes. The price was very good, only 3 €. The only problem was that the train did not arrive on time. Otherwise, I would really heartily recommend the train journey from Düsseldorf to Cologne. Apart from arriving on time, everything was tip-top.
Pros

Cons
IconNo negative properties
I associate the train journey with some positive experiences. For one thing, I found unrivalled hygiene everywhere. In addition, the train was on time to the minute, which I would not have expected. In terms of comfort, I report that although the seats were quite comfortable, it was a bit cramped on the train due to the large number of passengers. The wifi was really good and I had a power socket available. I give it 5 stars.
