I've rarely had such a pleasant train journey. Everything was perfect: punctual departure, quiet carriage, my seat was super comfortable and I had plenty of legroom. I was able to work in peace, wifi was stable throughout. It was clean, quiet and the staff were in a good mood. Every train journey should be like this. I arrived relaxed and would travel again in a heartbeat.

I was able to travel directly from Düsseldorf to Cologne without any intermediate stops. What I found very good was that the train was not delayed and I arrived in Cologne on time. The train had been very busy, which is why I reserved a seat. The seats had been very comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets and a stable internet connection. The staff had been very friendly during the ticket inspection and the train was relatively clean. The toilets in particular were very hygienic and there were also plenty of toilets on the train. Unfortunately, the on-board bistro was not open on the journey. To summarise, however, I can recommend the journey.

It was very noisy on the train from Düsseldorf to Cologne, as the train was very busy. The staff were also noticeably annoyed at the ticket inspection. The train arrived in Cologne 15 minutes late. My seat was very comfortable and there were power sockets and good internet throughout the journey. The cleanliness in the corridors and toilets was also very good. The on-board bistro was also open. The ticket was relatively cheap and the journey went by very quickly despite the delay. I didn't have to change trains here. Overall, I found the journey mediocre.

A very fast connection to get from Düsseldorf to Cologne. I actually use this connection very often and have always been very satisfied. It takes less than 30 minutes. The train is usually not very busy and you get a great seat, even if you don't make a reservation.

Due to a repair on my private car, I travelled the Düsseldorf - Cologne route by ICE today. The train was on time and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the air on the train is really unpleasant when the humidity is high. This is where the air conditioning reaches its limits. Unfortunately, Deutsche Bahn is not yet reliable enough to serve as a permanent alternative to the car. The central location of the main stations means you can get to your destination quickly.

I travelled at lunchtime. I checked other connections beforehand. I didn't use any entertainment or Wi-Fi. No idea if they even have that. The train was late and I had to run to the connecting bus, but clean. I didn't use the service or restaurant. Far too expensive for the short journey.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the journey. The train was modern, clean and pleasantly air-conditioned. I was particularly pleased that I could easily take my bike with me. However, the signposting on the platform was confusing and I was at the wrong end of the train at first. That could have been difficult with a short changeover time. I travelled from Düsseldorf to Cologne in the morning of Saturday, 7.12.2024. Cologne was a stopover for my onward journey. Using the DB app, the IC was the best choice for me as it was priced with the ICE I took on it. There wasn't much going on in the train and it made a superficially clean impression. The wifi was sufficient for reading texts and electricity was also available. There was no service on board, which didn't bother me. The total ticket to Karlsruhe cost €63.98, so only the journey to Cologne was a fraction of the price.

I can only recommend the return journey of my Düsseldorf trip to a limited extent. I was in a hurry to catch the train. When I arrived at the station, it was unfortunately late and cancelled in the end. So I had to change to another connection and even change the track. This was very stressful. The next train was of course very crowded. I couldn't get a seat and it was very noisy. In addition, this train was also very dirty and outdated.

We took the Deutsche Bahn ICE from Düsseldorf to Cologne and the journey was very pleasant. The seats were very comfortable and offered enough storage space for our bags, a power socket and enough legroom. The train was very modern and the toilets looked very hygienic. The ICE offered a bistro on board where you can buy small snacks and drinks during the journey. The internet on board was very good and you could surf the net without any problems. If I had driven the distance from Düsseldorf to Cologne by car, it would probably have taken me over 1 hour. By train it was only 25 minutes. No other means of transport can offer this comfort, especially during rush hour. Especially when you consider that the journey only cost 15 € and that you didn't have to concentrate on driving but could enjoy the time. I would absolutely recommend the trip to others, because besides the price-performance ratio, the comfort was very high.

I travelled from Düsseldorf main station to Cologne main station at the weekend on the Deutsche Bahn ICE. The journey was quite pleasant, there were no problems and the on-board staff were very nice. The journey only took about 25 minutes, so I didn't reserve a seat and, as the train was a bit full, I didn't even look for a seat. Surely one could have found a seat. However, it was not necessary for the short duration. Basically, I can only recommend the journey, as a car journey from Düsseldorf to Cologne would take much longer with the city traffic. In addition, the ticket cost only €15 and was good value for money.

Last year, I took a trip from Düsseldorf to Cologne with DB. In fact, I was very impressed with the service. The workers were very friendly and quickly looked after my interests.
