Südwestdeutsche Verkehrs-AG (SWEG) is a public transport company operating rail and bus services primarily in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and some neighboring regions. The company was formed in 2018 from the merger of Südwestdeutsche Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft and Hohenzollerische Landesbahn. SWEG operates various railway lines, including the Achertalbahn, Münstertalbahn, and Harmersbachtalbahn, and is also involved in freight transport. They utilize different train types, such as Regio-Shuttle RS1, Talent 3, LINT 54, and Mireo Plus B. SWEG is owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Hohenzollerische Landesbahn AG (HzL) was a German railway company that operated passenger and freight services, as well as bus transport, primarily in southern Baden-Württemberg. Founded in 1899, HzL was one of the largest non-federally owned railway companies in the state. In 2018, HzL merged with Südwestdeutsche Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft (SWEG) to form Südwestdeutsche Landesverkehrs-AG (SWEG), though the HzL brand is still used locally. Before the merger, bus operations accounted for 11% of HzL's revenue. Today, the HzL bus services cover an 800 km route network with hubs in Reutlingen, Horb, Sigmaringen, and Riedlingen. Its bus lines operate within various transport associations, including naldo and DING.
