Overview of Renfe Torre del Oro
Renfe Torre del Oro is a route specific long-distance train service operated by Renfe, Spain's national railway company. Named after Seville's historic monument, this service connects major cities in Catalonia and Valencia with destinations across Andalusia. Recently, the service has been enhanced with the introduction of modern Series 130 trains, significantly improving comfort, reliability and accessibility.
The Renfe Torre del Oro operates as a direct, daily Intercity service, using both conventional and high-speed lines over its 1,200-kilometer route. This strategic blend allows it to offer an economical yet comfortable option for long journeys, serving 23 intermediate stops including key cities like Seville, Córdoba, Valencia and Albacete. The renewal of its fleet has increased weekly capacity to 4,200 seats, offering more travel opportunities.
The deployment of Series 130 trains brings advanced features to passengers, such as digital audio and video systems, electronic information panels providing real-time updates on location and arrival times, and reclinable seats that can be oriented to the direction of travel. These upgrades reinforce Renfe Torre del Oro's position as a premium choice for extensive rail travel across Spain. Omio is proud to partner with Renfe Torre del Oro, providing our customers with seamless, comfortable and convenient train travel across the Andalusia region.
- Classes: Renfe Torre del Oro, utilizing Series 130 trains, offers two main seating options: Standard Class and Confort Class. Confort Class (equivalent to First/Premium) offers enhanced comfort with more spacious seating and additional amenities, ensuring a more relaxed journey.
- Amenities: The renewed Series 130 trains on the Renfe Torre del Oro service come equipped with a range of modern amenities. These include a cafeteria car for food and beverage purchases, level boarding for ease of access, and digital audio and video systems for entertainment. Passengers benefit from electronic information panels providing real-time GPS updates on the train's location, speed, and estimated arrival time.
