Many NS trains depart from the capital Amsterdam's main station, Amsterdam Centraal. You can easily travel around The Netherlands and visit cities such as Rotterdam and The Hague, while also easily travel internationally to hubs like Berlin as well as to Paris with high-speed NS trains. You can also buy unlimited travel for your Amsterdam stay through NS with the Amsterdam Travel Ticket.
There is a free NS service, NS Travel Assitance, that will help you through the station, board and exit the train. To organize this you need to get a free Mijn NS account, which you can do on the NS website.
Small pets kept in a cage (no more than 30x30x55) can travel for free. If your dog is too big then it will need a ticket as well to be kept on a leash as well as wearing a muzzle.
Guide dogs can travel for free but a guide rate ticket is needed.
