My journey from Würzburg to Frankfurt was a bit bumpy. Unfortunately, the train was quite late. For this reason, I also arrived in Frankfurt much later than actually planned. On the day of my journey, the train was overcrowded, so I don't remember the journey being particularly comfortable either. On a positive note, the price was reasonable and the service on board was nice. I will probably take the car on this route in future.

The journey from Würzburg to Frankfurt in second class went smoothly, but the train was a little late (approx. 40 min at destination). The train was clean and the compartment tidy and not too noisy. The conductor on board and the staff in the bistro were friendly as usual. The price was very fair and cheaper than a car journey. Unfortunately, the train was very crowded and you are not as flexible with a train connection.

The train journey was very relaxed. We had reserved a toddler compartment and our child was well occupied with the toys you get on the ICE. The wifi worked well. Our compartment was clean and quiet. There was another family in the toddler compartment, so it was a bit cramped, but that was fine.
Advantages
IconThe price was favourable at the time of booking.
IconA good alternative to travelling by car.
Disadvantages
IconDespite the early hour, the train was very late!
I actually wanted to have a relaxed journey to Frankfurt by train, but due to a signalling fault, the train in Würzburg was already very late. I was only able to catch my flight in Frankfurt with a bit of luck and because the train made up time. A very bad start to a journey!
