As I had a business meeting in Mannheim in the evening, but wanted to do some work on the outward journey, I decided to take the train. The journey was operated by SWEG and was surprisingly punctual and, above all, clean. There was a train attendant on every train, so you felt well advised and safe the whole time. I also really liked the fact that there were special fares within the Baden-Württemberg rail network, which were significantly cheaper than with Deutsche Bahn.

There was clinical cleanliness on board and the service was also good. The train set off on time and reached Mannheim without any delays.
