As I had a business meeting in Mannheim in the evening, but wanted to do some work on the outward journey, I decided to take the train. The journey was operated by SWEG and was surprisingly punctual and, above all, clean. There was a train attendant on every train, so you felt well advised and safe the whole time. I also really liked the fact that there were special fares within the Baden-Württemberg rail network, which were significantly cheaper than with Deutsche Bahn.

The train arrived on time in Stuttgart, so you didn't have to stand in the cold any longer. The train was clean and departed on time. Connecting to the wifi was also no problem and it was easy to work while travelling. I arrived in Mannheim at 20:00 sharp.

My journey from Stuttgart to Mannheim on the ICE train was nothing but positive. It started with the fact that I was able to get a very comfortable seat despite not having a reservation. I was also served fresh coffee at my seat. As far as I know, there were no delays during the journey. On board, everything was clean and tidy, which contributed to the general feeling of well-being. There was clinical cleanliness on board and the service was also good. The train set off on time and reached Mannheim without any delays. The wifi worked smoothly and the power socket supplied my laptop with power. The seats were comfortable and cosy.

The journey from Stuttgart to Mannheim was a consistently pleasant direct connection with the ICE. Firstly on the negative side, the wifi was simply dreadful. The connection was constantly interrupted. Otherwise there was nothing negative. The train was modern and well equipped. It was also clean and hygienic. The service was good as the staff were helpful. There were no delays during the entire journey.

The journey took less than an hour, which I really appreciated. There were no delays. I got a coffee in the bistro, but it was a bit expensive.
