Once on board, the Renfe AVE train from Ourense to Madrid felt sleek and comfortable right from the start. The views along the route are remarkable, from the sunny Castilian plains to the lush Galician mountains, offering a real sense of traveling across regions and climates in just a few hours. As a matter of fact, on the day I traveled, I departed Ourense with a temperature around 25ºC and arrived in Madrid with over 35ºC!
