The train journey from Manchester to Leeds was easy to book and at a very low price. Even without reserving specific seats, there were plenty of seats available so that a family could sit together. The train arrived on time and the arrival about an hour later was also as planned. There were power sockets and free wifi, which was rather less good. The staff were friendly and helped with any questions. The train was also quite clean. Overall, the price-performance ratio was very good.

I recently travelled from Manchester to Leeds by train and it was a great experience! The direct Northern train, train number 2N32, left Manchester Victoria station on time at 09:45 and arrived in Leeds at 10:36. The journey was comfortable and enjoyable, and the views en route were really nice. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to travel quickly and comfortably between the two cities!"

Here's my review of the train journey from Manchester Piccadilly to Leeds: Timetable and Travel Time: I traveled on January 31, 2023, with a departure from Manchester Piccadilly at 08:30 and an arrival at Leeds at 09:40. The direct journey took approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes, which was efficient and straightforward, without the need to change trains. Ticket, Reservation, and Seat: I had an Advance Single Adult ticket, ticket number TTDQXTE6HYD, for Coach B, Seat 40, on the TransPennine Express. Having a reserved seat was convenient, ensuring I had a comfortable spot for the entire journey. The reservation details were clearly stated, making boarding hassle-free. Comfort and Facilities: The seats in Coach B were comfortable, with sufficient cushioning and adequate legroom. The train was relatively quiet, which allowed for a peaceful journey. However, there was no mention of catering services or onboard amenities like WLAN or power sockets, which would have been beneficial for a more connected travel experience. The lack of these amenities was a downside, especially for a journey of this length. Service: The service on board was satisfactory. The staff were approachable and provided the necessary information when needed. The reservation process was smooth, and having a reserved seat enhanced the comfort and convenience of my trip. However, I noticed that the staff could have been more proactive in assisting passengers with luggage and providing information about the journey. Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the train was commendable. The seating areas and aisles were well-maintained, and the WCs were clean and stocked with necessary supplies. However, the cleanliness of the windows left something to be desired, as they were somewhat smudged, detracting from the overall experience. Punctuality: The train departed and arrived on time, which was a major plus. The punctuality of the service made planning my schedule in Leeds much easier and stress-free. Price-Performance Ratio: I found the ticket to be relatively inexpensive, and the quality of service provided matched well with the overall travel experience. The combination of comfort, efficient travel time, and good service made the journey worthwhile. However, the absence of key amenities like WLAN and power sockets made the value feel slightly diminished. Overall, my trip from Manchester Piccadilly to Leeds with TransPennine Express was positive, with a few drawbacks. The train offered a decent level of comfort and cleanliness, with friendly service. However, the lack of onboard amenities and slightly inattentive staff were notable downsides. The punctuality and seamless travel experience ensured that I reached my destination on time, but there's room for improvement in providing a more comprehensive travel experience.
