In between, the trains run almost every half hour from the Free and Hanseatic City to the University City.

Especially the ensemble of Old Town Hall and Gänselieselbrunnen attracts tourists to the city year after year.

In regional traffic, the Südharz route, the Halle-Kasseler train and the Hanoversiche Südbahn are served here. The Lokhalle, a building located on the side of the station facing the city center, is worth a visit. It is a historical industrial monument. The city center of Göttingen can be reached on foot from the train station.
