ReviewsReviews for the rail journey from Hanover to Göttingen

userReviewImage
userReviewLogo
The customer opinion was acquired via Cimenio. Cimenio incentivises its users for giving an honest opinion and proving the booking with a photo of the travel ticket.
Advantages
IconCheap ticket
IconFast travel
IconAdditional seat can be booked cheaply
Disadvantages
IconSlight delay
The journey was about 30 minutes late at departure, which is annoying but also happens with other means of travel, so it's fine with me. The price is really cheap and there is no cheaper way to travel. I also like the fact that I can book the extra seat for a few euros and thus have enough space. The train seems older, but it is clean and the internet works. The staff is nice and quite talkative, which I find better than bad-tempered, grumpy staff. Hardly anything to complain about and I'm happy to book the train again.
Advantages
Icongood comfort and equipment
IconFriendly staff and fast ticket control
IconPleasant volume on the train
Disadvantages
IconToilet was unhygienic, passenger compartment dirty
IconUrine smell in the entire passenger compartment
The train had been very comfortable, especially because of the comfortable seats and the pleasant noise level in the train. There were also enough power sockets and an internet connection. What bothered me was the smell of urine in the passenger compartment. This was probably caused by the toilet, which did not look hygienic either. The passenger compartment was also not cleaned. The staff, on the other hand, were friendly and the ticket check was carried out quickly. In the end, the train had a delay of less than 5 minutes and was therefore acceptable to me.
Advantages
IconRide goes fast
IconGood service
IconNice staff
Disadvantages
IconSometimes late
IconSometimes board bistro closed
IconSometimes No Seats
The ICE had wifi, power sockets and comfortable seats. There was an on-board bistro, the train was quiet and there were toilets. The train was on time, the staff were friendly and you didn't have to change trains. The train was clean and you could reserve seats. If you book early enough, the journey is inexpensive.
Advantages
IconHygienic train
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctual
My journey from Hanover to Göttingen was very pleasant, because the train was clean, almost pristine. It was the ICE 781, which arrived somewhat unpunctually in Hanover and was therefore also delayed in Göttingen. However, the journey was still pleasant and over quickly. I got a coffee in the on-board bistro, which was very tasty. Overall, I can't say anything negative about the service on the train.
Advantages
IconPleasant, fast journey
IconClean train
Disadvantages
IconNone
I travelled with the ICE 77 second class from Hamburg to Freiburg, the route Hannover - Göttingen being part of it. The journey takes just under half an hour, which is very speedy. The train was very clean and seemed technically in order. The on-board bistro was open. The train was not busy on this route and there was plenty of seating. The train staff were polite and courteous. I can recommend the journey.
Advantages
IconVery friendly staff
IconSuper modern train
IconQuick
IconVery favourable
Disadvantages
IconToilet not 100% clean
IconWifi slow at times
The journey to Göttingen was super and very pleasant. The train was relatively empty, so you could find a seat. The staff was very friendly and had friendly conversations. The train was on time and had everything to offer for the low price. The seat was fully equipped, only the wifi had problems in some places. The toilet was unfortunately a bit dirty, but the staff took care of it immediately. The route was quick and we arrived in Göttingen on time. The surroundings were a bit monotonous, which didn't make the view exciting, but wasn't bad considering the journey time.
Advantages
IconThe price is affordable
Disadvantages
IconDelay
IconNo ventilation
The price of the train ticket was good, but the journey itself was not very pleasant. First of all, the train was about 30 minutes late without any specific announcement. So we just had to wait, but nobody knew whether the train would arrive. The ventilation on the train was not working and so the air was very stuffy and hot. The train was also very full and the journey was simply unpleasant. Perhaps it is better to take the train in cold seasons, otherwise I prefer the bus.
Advantages
IconTrip duration
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconUtilisation
IconInternet connection
My journey with Deutsche Bahn from Hanover main station to Göttingen was really very good. The train arrived very punctually to my satisfaction and the journey time was pleasantly short. There's nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness either, because even the toilets were very clean. Unfortunately, capacity utilisation was quite high on this route and the internet connection was a little weak. Otherwise, we would be happy to fly again.
Advantages
IconPunctuality
IconVolume
Disadvantages
IconWIFI
I was very pleased with how the journey went. Firstly, the train was very punctual and arrived within the specified time. Another thing I really liked was how quiet the train was. If it goes as well as this journey, the price is also very fair!
