I took the ICE from Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof to Giessen Hauptbahnhof at the weekend. The trip was very pleasant both departure and arrival were on time and he comfort in the ICE was very pleasant. Cleanliness on board was given, and although we had not reserved a seat, there were still more than enough free seats. For this short trip, the price-performance ratio was absolutely top, as you would not have been faster by car.
