The biggest advantage of the train connection Gießen Bahnhof to Frankfurt am Main Hauptbahnhof is the high frequency and the availability of alternative train connections. If an ICE ticket has been purchased, the on-board bistro can be used during the journey. The selection of cold and warm dishes and drinks is considerable. The on-board bistro itself offers seating with a table and sufficient space to eat, alternatively it is possible to take food and drinks to your seat. The staff on the train are very polite and can always answer questions about tickets in full. If there is a longer changeover time at Frankfurt Central Station, you can enter the DB Lounge with your ticket and wait there for the connecting train. Unfortunately, my train was not on time and I was several minutes late. Wifi is available, but the connection is not always optimal.

Both the outward journey from Frankfurt to Gießen and the return journey from Gießen to Frankfurt were very pleasant and punctual by ICE. Even on the return journey, there were still free seats without seat reservations and the cleanliness and hygiene were also great. The ticket inspectors were very friendly and the price-performance ratio of about €18 per journey was absolutely reasonable.

Last weekend I travelled by ICE from Gießen Hauptbahnhof to Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof. I was very satisfied with the journey, which only took about 35 minutes and was on time both on departure and arrival. You wouldn't have made the same journey any faster by car and for a price of about €18 each way, it's also good value for money. Hygiene and cleanliness on the train were great and I would absolutely recommend the trip.
