The journey from Cologne to Düsseldorf was on the ICE 22 in second class and without seat reservations. The train was almost empty, which I personally found very pleasant. Another positive aspect was that the train was clean, which added considerably to the comfort. The train's facilities were up to date, with wifi and power sockets. Unfortunately, the train was slightly late, which bothered me a bit at this hour of the night.

The train journey with the ICE 22 from Cologne to Düsseldorf was acceptable overall, but offered room for improvement. The high speed and punctual departure were positive. The seats were comfortable, but the limited legroom could be problematic for longer journeys. The lack of power sockets made it difficult to use electronic devices. Train announcements were clear but lacked detail for delays. The connection served its purpose but could do with more comfort and modern amenities.
Advantages
IconQuite a speedy journey
Iconuncomplicated
Disadvantages
IconTrain was delayed
My journey from Cologne to Düsseldorf went relatively quickly, as expected. After a short delay of the train, however, it started and the route was very pleasant to travel. Since the train is equipped with wifi, I was able to work during the train ride. The noise level on the train is also very pleasant. I was also pleasantly surprised by the toilets, which were freshly cleaned. The bistro was also very tasty.

The journey from Cologne main station to Düsseldorf was on the ICE 22, in second class. The journey was extremely short, just under 20 minutes. In this respect, I could also do without the seat reservation. The train was in very good condition, it had no obvious visual defects. There was free wifi on board. The train left Cologne on time and arrived in Düsseldorf on time. The service on board was very good.

I travelled from Cologne to Düsseldorf on the ICE 22. The journey took less than 30 minutes. I did not make a reservation, but there were enough seats. I did not come into contact with the staff on board and unfortunately cannot comment on this. The train has free wifi and sockets for free use. The train left Cologne on time and arrived in Düsseldorf on time.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats
Iconkind staff
Icongood internet
Disadvantages
Iconslight delay
After our 3-day workshop in Cologne, we had to take the Deutsche Bahn ICE to Düsseldorf again. The train arrived in Cologne on time. Boarding was smooth, our seats were comfortable and convenient. They had folding tables and a shelf to rest one's feet on. We were able to stow our bags above the seats. The internet was very good on board. The train was unfortunately stopped en route by construction work and we were delayed by a total of 20 minutes. This was quite annoying, but tolerable for the short journey. Overall, the journey was good. One point deduction for the delay.
Advantages
IconA fast journey even with RE
Disadvantages
IconFrequent cancellations and delays
The journey from Cologne to Düsseldorf takes exactly half an hour by regional express train. This is just as fast or even faster considering the distance and the alternative ways of travelling (especially by car). The trains run frequently during the day, are comfortable and usually clean. Nevertheless, there are relatively frequent delays and cancellations on this route. Most of the time, however, the next scheduled RE train leaves anyway.

The train from Cologne to Düsseldorf was a quick and uncomplicated journey. The train was on time and the expectations of Deutsche Bahn were met. The staff were friendly and were able to answer all questions regarding train connections. The journey was very fast. It was just a pity that the toilets were not clean and the price was a bit too high for such a short journey.

The train journey was undoubtedly very nice. I was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent punctuality of my train. On top of that, the staff at the station were very friendly and were able to help me with any queries I had. In terms of hygiene, I have nothing to criticise. The entire train, including the seats, was kept very clean. Recommendation.
