The Hamburg - Prague route is served by more than 100 flights a day. Several large companies, but also low-cost airlines such as Eurowings, Vueling, Ryanair and easyJet are on the move, at least on sections between the Elbe metropolis and the capital of the Czech Republic. The fastest way for air travellers to reach the popular destination from Hamburg is with a direct flight, which only takes 1:10 hours. The flight duration of the shortest transfer flights is 2:45 to 3:10 hours.
Travellers on board aircraft of Deutsche Lufthansa or KLM reach the city on the Vltava River. Eurowings offers at least one direct flight from Hamburg to Prague on several weekdays. EasyJet and Ryanair, on the other hand, each serve some routes.
After a short flight duration of 1:10 hours, passengers land with a direct flight in Prague. The non-transfer flights are offered by Eurowings, among others. For a flight from Hamburg to Prague that requires a changeover, for example in Munich or Vienna, the flight duration increases to about 3:00 hours. Flights offered by Vueling in cooperation with Ryanair and Eurowings can also be booked. They are usually connected with transfers at Barcelona El-Prat airport and take more than 9:45 hours.
There are several flights available per hour on all days of the week. Holidaymakers and business travellers can fly from Hamburg to Prague every 5 to 15 minutes during the day. easyJet aircrafts only carry passengers on partial routes. Together with Ryanair, Vueling and KLM, the company offers up to four flights a day on Fridays and Saturdays.
Hamburg Airport: The airport is located eight kilometers north of the city center in the district of Fuhlsbüttel. Passengers and visitors can use the WLAN free of charge for 24 hours. With the S-Bahn line 1 the travel time from the main station to the departure terminal is 0:25 hours.
Airport Prague: The airport Letitě Václava Havla Praha is located in the far west of Prague. In the building there are numerous shops, restaurants, bakeries and cafés. Travellers can travel by public bus to the Nádraí Veleslavín metro stop. From here underground trains go to the city centre. The total driving time is 0:35 hrs.
