Starting airport: Flights to Berlin start from Cologne/Bonn Airport (CGN), which is located exactly between the two cities (12 kilometers to Cologne, 16 kilometers to Bonn). The Airport Express Bus SB 60 leaves every 30 minutes from the main train station in Bonn to the airport (27 minutes). The journey by taxi or car also takes about 30 minutes. Cologne Bonn Airport offers free Wi-Fi, but unfortunately no sockets for charging laptops or mobile phones.

There is no S-Bahn from the airport to the city centre, but travellers can take the TXL express bus instead. It runs every 5 to 10 minutes and takes about 40 minutes to get there.
